Auch uns erreichte die Nachricht eines Downgrades drei Tage vor der geplanten Reise. Statt eines zur Benutzung durch zwei Personen gebuchten Abteiles nun zusammen im Sechser-Abteil. Wenn man dann dem Kunden dafür gerade mal 25€ Nachlass je Person anbietet statt mindestens der Differenz zur gebuchten Kategorie, ist das schon eine absolute Frechheit! Meine Buchung habe ich storniert. Auf die 20% Nachlass für eine mögliche spätere Reise verzichte ich gern, mit European Sleeper wird es diese für uns nicht geben. Dieses Unternehmen fährt bei mir direkt aufs Abstellgleis! Wenigstens die Rückerstattung hat schnell geklappt.

"great trip - just no electricity at first"

The experience with European Sleeper was great over all. The only demerit was that there was no electricity in our wagon before going to sleep, so no light and no phone charging.

It wasn't that big of a deal, because I had a power bank with me, and it would have probably been possible to give my phone to the train staff for charging. Also I think it's great that older wagons are still being used for ecological reasons as well as nostalgic reasons.

So 4/5 stars and overall a great experience! I'll definitely recommend European Sleeper to my friends

Great experience by sleeping and riding. The bed was a bit short but overall I had a good night.

Our ride to Berlin was great, we even slept well untill arrival and met some nice people in our carriage. The wagons are definetely not new, but repurposing is a great feature. There is a good minimum in comfort, but since you are travelling sleeping, you literally aren't losing time. Overall a good experience, will definitely do this again.

Everything ok with the Company but sometimes the problem are the other travelers, you buy a european sleeper to sleep and they do not let you sleep

"Luft nach oben"

Noch kein perfekter Nachtzug. Wir hatten ein 2er Abteil im Schlafwagen gebucht. Zwei Tage vor der Abfahrt haben wir per Mail ein Downgrade auf ein 5er Liegewagen Abteil mit anderen Reisenden bekommen, da es wohl technische Probleme mit dem Schlafwagen gab. Immerhin wurde uns direkt eine Gutschrift von 50% und ein 20% Gutschein für die nächste Buchung angeboten.
In Amsterdam fuhr der Zug dann mit 80 Minuten Verspätung ab, die Kommunikation am Bahnsteig ist auch ausbaufähig, niemand wusste wann der Zug abfährt.
Positiv aufgefallen ist das sehr freundliche und bemühte Personal, auch per Chat auf der Website erreicht man immer sehr schnell jemanden.
Der Liegewagen war sauber und ordentlich, an Bord wurden die Fahrgäste gut informiert.
Schade, dass der Schlafwagen technische Probleme hatte, das sollte nicht passieren.

Great trip. Love the 'vintage' rolling stock. Stayed in a 6-berth couchette outbound and a 3-person sleeper on return. Breakfast both ways - basic but welsome. Thanks to for the Earth Water - nice touch!

A great journey with good staff.

There was one glitch- the train didn't depart from the station advertised and we didn't know... BUT we were directed onto a different train which made the connection (note to self - always get to the station 30 minutes prior to departure.!)

Definitely my fault in not knowing as I booked from Brussels but boarded in Amsterdam (Amersfoort in the end) and didn't check for last minute updates on the website.

Anyway disaster was averted. Return journey was not a problem. We want to Prague this time, but will go to Berlin again in the future- even for a day trip.
