"I received a letter in the mail that…"
I received a letter in the mail that implied that my homeowner's insurance was expiring or had already expired. I called about it and they said that I needed to reactivate my account. After further questions, I found out this was a home warranty, not a homeowner's insurance policy. I had never had a home warranty account with them so it was deceptive for them to imply that I needed to REACTIVATE an account that didn't exist. They pressed me to start an account, but I didn't fall for it. I'm reporting it to our state attorney general for deceptive trade practices.

"To whom it may concern,"
To whom it may concern,
I just wanted to ask you to be transparent and point out the most important details of the policy when selling your insurance to regular folks who aren't expert in the insurance business, and don't read between the line, or don't have time to sit and read an entire booklet of insurance coverage. That said I respect your business and the employees that work for you. They where very good at demanding all kinds of documents which took me days to obtain while my car is setting at the shop NOT getting worked on.
In conclusion your company should:
First; let people know that the insurance value of the coverage will drop each year after you buy it. So if your car needs a new engine and it is worth more than your car's trading value, it may not be fully covered or not covered at all.
Second; the documents required should correspond to the job. If it's a suspension problem, what is the point of asking for an oil change record?? It's just a waist time and preventing mechanics to work on the car. I call it simply stalling.
Third; you must make service records a priority on your policy at the beginning of your sells pitch so people understand that if you are missing a single oil change, it WILL void their warranty. NOT put it in small print in the middle of your booklet.
If you make these simple adjustments to your policy, you will get more satisfied clients, better reviews, less complaints, less lawsuits, and a thriving business.
Thanks for your consideration and have a great day.
Your costumer.

"SCAM"
SCAM! SCAM! My experience sounds like several others..Stealing from honest hard working people. I have paid for well over a year. The first opportunity I got to file a claim today 3/24/2025 it was denied. They gave myself and the dealership a “Made Up EXCUSE” .. they too said it was BOGUS and UNETHICAL! I agree with most of the reviews.. No intent to pay for the repairs. Those who got lucky count yourself as just that! LUCKY! Shame on anyone who works for this company. Bad Representation!

Sharing the pain as everyone else who have left a review.
I recently had a disappointing experience with Merit Administration. Despite having a contract that clearly outlined coverage for specific repairs, the company was reluctant to honor their commitment. They used unwarranted and unrelated information to justify their refusal to cover the costs, which felt like a scheming tactic to avoid their responsibilities.
This situation caused significant inconvenience and frustration, as I had to cover the repair costs out of pocket.
I hope Merit Administration can improve by adhering to their contractual commitments and providing clear, relevant justifications for any decisions made. Instead of ripping good people out of their hard earn money.

"My policy has been paid in full for…"
My policy has been paid in full for over 2 years, $3000 paid in full. Anyways, they have found loopholes in the fine print of the policies. They NEVER intend to cover anything. Mine was declined on their favorite denial. You continued to use the vehicle with known issue. NO I DID NOT! DOESNT matter! This scamming, crooked company should be investigated on how many claims they deny vs how many they actually pay. I. Sure it's 99% denial!

"I had an incredibly frustrating…"
I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Merit Administration's Auto Claims service. Despite submitting all the required documents, including the final paperwork from the Ford dealership as they requested, they still found a way to deny my claim based on a technical exclusion policy. The entire process felt like a total fiasco from start to finish. Communication was poor, and I was left in the dark about key steps in the claim process. It's disappointing when a company doesn’t live up to its promises, and this experience has definitely left me dissatisfied. Would not recommend.
