I would give this company 0 stars, but unfortunately, that is not an option. This company is not a real moving company but a contracting site. They contract with other moving companies. I was quoted $4,210.00 for a move out of state (That was the "highest price" I was going to have to pay). I paid the $1321.00 deposit, had a moving date, and everything was set. Two days before the move I had a "quality assurance" phone call with a representative from the company and he told me I had to pay an additional $1,500 deposit and the move would be $6,500 instead. I asked how that could be because Jeff said it wouldn't be any higher and he (Freddie) gave me some B.S. answer. We went back and forth about the price, he had to check with his dispatch" to see if they could do the move for the price we agreed to. Of course, they couldn't. The crazy thing is he said the price could change once they have my stuff loaded. I told him I wanted to cancel the move and wanted my deposit back. Which I have not received. Be careful if you use this in-between company. I keep thinking what would have happened had they loaded my stuff. How much more would the move have cost me? I am lucky that I didn't have to move right away. I usually don't write bad reviews but this company is very dishonest and I would hate to see someone load all their stuff in a moving truck and not be able to pay the remainder of the bill...they create after.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! They have terrible customer service, if you try to call them you will wait 30 minutes to an hour to speak to a representative who gives minimal information and has very little power to help you at all. We booked our move with Gold Standard Moving and Storage 2 months ago. Ryan Americas was our salesman and he promised us that it would be no problem, great service, etc.
After we paid him the 50% deposit he never answered my call or texts anymore.
A week before our move we got a text to confirm the move. On the day of the move I had not received any more communication about when the drivers were coming so I called and spoke to a customer service representative for 1 hour. She was trying to figure out what was happening and she kept telling us she could not reach the drivers directly. She said she could not tell if our move was assigned to anyone yet which is so odd because it should have been clearly noted, as it was the day of the move! After being on the phone for an hour and being put on hold many times, she told us “I don’t know what happened but your order has been dissolved”. She then sent me an email authorizing refund. This caused us great trouble, stress and extra money to scramble and find another mover.
SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF STRESS AND UPSET AND DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!

"No customer service.. no help"

These folks contract with ..in my case...people who have questionable business practices and no customer interest. My folks arrived 7 hours late for pickup, never gave me paperwork, raised price by 200 percent, delivered 30+ days after pickup for a move under 500 miles, and items were broken. They did not leave me with contact or claim information. They only called 4 hours before day of delivery.. lucky I was home

SCAM!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They will try to sucker you in with a hard sales pitch and lowball prices. DO NOT USE!!! Also, when you tell them you need time to decide, they will insult you and then hang up on you. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Gold standard moving is the best hands down! The crew they sent over worked really fast and got everything packed and stored away neatly until I was ready to transport it all. They covered all the furniture in padding as well!

Worst customer service of any moving company in the country. I would put infinite negative stars. This company is as incompetent as they come. I would trust six hobos traveling with by foot over this sad excuse of a company.

"DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY"

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They tell you they will beat any quote that you get, and that's because the quote they give you doesn't matter. I booked them for a move that was supposed to have cost $8,000. A third party company showed up and after they had already moved half of our furniture into some storage, they told us it was actually going to cost over $16,000. Of course we couldn't afford that. And they would only return our furniture to us if we paid them $4,000. In the end, we were out of the deposit we gave Gold Standard and out $4k. Also, we had to move ourselves. I called Gold Standard, and they blamed me for what happened, saying that I must have told them the wrong amount of items, and pretty much said it was not their problem. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. Our move was supposed to have been stress free, but instead, it was a nightmare.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They didn't show up and won't refund my deposit!!! They left me and my two daughters stranded moving from Oregon to Texas and ghosted me and told me my deposit is non refundable even though they didn't show within a week of the 3 day arrival window they gave me!! They kept saying a truck would be there, tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow. I ran out of tomorrows and had to drive a Penske cross country. AWFUL!
