"Advise to others to let your mechanic buy the major parts incase there are problems."

I will describe my experience working with this company. I bought an engine from them, for $1744 on 7/23. It arrived at my mechanic's on 8/2, he was backed up and they started work around the 15th. They discovered the engine had a cracked oil filter housing and cracked oil pan on the 20th. The warranty says: (Engines are complete assemblies including Manifolds, Oil Pan, Timing Belts, and Covers, Fuel Injection or Carburetor. We guarantee only the long block. The manifolds, gaskets, seals, hoses, oil pan, timing belts and covers, fuel injection, or carburetor, are not covered under warranty. Orders of “Block Only” (Short or Long Block) are guaranteed to be rebuildable only)
They said they would not pay for the extra cost of the pan, but would for the housing. On 8/23 sent an estimate of $607 and two people assured me the housing cost would be covered. They took until 9/26 to reimburse me $350. Warning: Don't buy parts yourself. Let the mechanic supply them.

"Wrong engine"

Engine received was not the one ordered.
Additionally the quality of engine and shipment protection was unexceptable.
Several oil connections were left exposed. Banjo bolts removed and missing and damaged steel lines. Rubber boot that connects to turbo was cut off with knife.
Only reason for 2 stars is Best Use responded quickly and is working on replacement. Will see how this goes...
