I have a claim outstanding from 18-July for an operation that took place in June.
Citing 'a high volume of claims' backlog as the reason for the continued delay.
Interestingly there was no delay with the renewal of my policy.
To be honest I am not sure what I am paying for, the level of service is shocking!

"Over 20% premium rise"
Over 20% premium rise, no claims and policy cheaper for new customers I keyed in exact same details on IYPs own website and policy was £30 less a year than I pay now as a new client. Raised a query and got given vague "lots of factors determine premium" but not really addressing why new customers are charged less for the same product. Am concerned this will be one of those products that starts off affordable and then when pet reaches age no one else will insure the premiums will rise exponentially. Price walking is banned in home / motor insurance, perhaps time to extend it to pet insurance as well.

Easy to set up my new dogs pet insurance. I am a new customer for them having used a previous pet insurer for my last dog. I won't be able to judge or compare properly until it comes to renew the policy each year or should I need to make a claim for vets fees. Otherwise very happy with the policy I have set up. Would be nice if they had an app for your phone as the website is confusing and hard to navigate.
