"Renewal was straightforward as premium…"
Renewal was straightforward as premium increase was minimal - presumably because we have yet to test the performance that matters as we have not had to make a claim yet!

"Thank you Insure Your Paws"
I have renewed my dogs insurance with insure your paws because they have been fantastic
My dog became very poorly shortly after taking out the insurance policy. It turned out that he had a genetic condition which he had obviously been born with and I had no idea. After blood tests and scans his diagnosis meant he needed surgery to correct his liver circulation. Following surgery he was extremely poorly with a poor prognosis needing days worth of intensive care but thanks to Insure your paws helping with the incredible cost which ran into thousands of pounds my beautiful boy is still with me I can’t recommend them enough Thank you so much Insure your Paws 🐾

"I don't have a choice but to continue…"
I don't have a choice but to continue insuring with insure yours paws due to my dogs ongoing health condition.
They used to take max 4-5 weeks from start to settling a claim, now they take that time to confirm receipt of your claim and then a further 9 weeks to settle.
Twice I have sent duplicate claims as I assumed they had lost them. I currently have three claims outstanding as I now claim monthly due to them taking so long to settle. I am currently paying of £2200 a year for his insurance and I have to pay on time each month!

"UNACCEPTABLE CLAIM RESPONSE TIME AND THEY WILL NOT PAY VET DIRECTLY!"
13th June 2022
I have submitted a claim for my dog's xrays a couple of weeks ago and i am severely disappointed to learn that claims are only completed between 5-8 weeks after they have been submitted! From the xrays it has shown that my dog will need luxating patella and cruiciate ligament surgery which will cost just under £1700. I rang Insure your Paws who said they will not provide our vet with pre-authorisation and that they will only consider a claim after treatment has taken place. This obviously means that we will have to pay for the operation upfront and then claim it back, which could take months. If we didnt have this amount of money in savings then my dog would be left to suffer until we could save up for this. I dont understand why they advertise 'we can and will pay vets directly' when they wouldnt give our vets pre-authorisation that they would cover my dog's surgery, and also why they told me that treatment has to have taken place BEFORE you can claim!!! Once my dog has had her operation and i have claimed the cost back i will definitely be looking for a new insurer on my next renewal. Everybody i have spoken to has never heard of such a rubbish experience when claming through their insurance. Lastly, it takes AT LEAST 25 mins to get through to anybody on the phone. Go elsewhere and save yourself the stress and hassle.
UPDATE 11th July
Don't bother emailing Martyn Evans who seems to be asking people to email him so he can help. He doesnt help. He just forwards your email to the claims department. The claims department do not read your email or reply to each point you raise. They simply send you a canned response saying their current turnaround times for claims are 9-10 weeks!!!!! Unacceptable. Im currently on week 6 of my first claim, and no response to any correspondence. Uner my policy details the claim status says 'putting on.' What does that mean?? I asked them to clarify but again nobody responded to me. God help me getting my money back for the £2,200 ive spent on vetinary fees over the last 2 months, i have no faith in this company whatsoever.

"5-8 weeks to process a claim !!"
Very disappointment with the length of time it will take to process my claim (5-8 weeks!). I've used other pet insurance companies and got payment back within a week of making the claim. This is a relatively small claim - I would be struggling financially if I was making a large claim.
On a positive note, I was very impressed with the First Vet online call and the advise we received.
UPDATE - Next day received a notification that my claim has been processed - amazing what leaving a review can do! (Payment in my bank account 16 days from sending in claim)
