"Ongoing Nightmare – Cargiant Pushed Through Unauthorised Repairs Without Consent"
I’m now months into an exhausting dispute with Cargiant after buying an Audi A5 from them that developed serious faults almost immediately after purchase.
Despite repeated requests for written communication only, they continued to call me, then went ahead and repaired the car without my permission, using unspecified aftermarket parts. I was very clear from the start that I would only accept genuine Audi parts, yet they carried out the repairs anyway and now claim the car is “ready to collect.”
They dismissed multiple independently diagnosed issues (including the timing belt and water pump) without providing any proper documentation or workshop report. I have zero confidence in the repairs or in the vehicle’s long-term reliability.
Now the case is with Blackhorse and the Financial Ombudsman, and I’ve formally escalated it. Meanwhile, I’ve been without the car, paying finance and insurance on something I haven’t had in my possession for weeks.
The way Cargiant has handled this shows a complete lack of accountability or customer care, pushing forward as if they can dictate terms to the buyer long after the sale. Avoid if you want peace of mind after your purchase.
