"Great idea - BUT I need LOW PROFILE cover....."

Great idea. Just too bulky for me. I wear tight dresses, leggings and trousers, so I need a really low profile "cover up".. I don't need a "support" function. Ostomy wraps USED TO BE available.....can't find them in the UK now?? A pregnancy belly band works well if you can buy a smaller size to get one to fit snugly, but not too tight - much lower profile and you can fold the bag up underneath the belly band as you wish.

"Bad Experience"

I custom ordered, by phone, a stealth belt and muffler with rush—paid $50 extra for the rush order and never received my muffler. When I contacted the company, they said I never ordered the muffler, even though I specifically wanted the belt and muffler for the purpose of reducing unwanted noises—which I discussed with the agent I talked with. Now what am I supposed to do, pay even more shipping for their mistake?

I ordered the stingray stealth belt a couple of months ago. I have only warn it twice and both times it caused a leak around my flange. I am very mindful about not letting my bag get too full but still the only leaks I have had since my surgery 5 months ago has been when I have used this belt. An expensive product that causes leaks .... very disappointing!!!!!!! It felt great when I put it on and I was looking forward to feeling somewhat normal again but don't want the extra worry of leaking.

I purchased the Stealth Belt immediately after surgery and had many issues. After speaking with the President of the company (who is also an ostomate) I realized a lot of the issues I had with the product were actually related to having poor/inappropriate ostomy supplies. (VA FTW)

I encourage everyone to give this company a try; a lot of people love their products. If you don't? They'll work tirelessly to make sure you are happy.

I still recommend waiting a little while after your surgery to learn how your new body works, how much output you have, etc. so you know which product will be best for you. Regardless, I'm very pleased.

"Probably not the best for slim women"

I think they are really trying to provide a good product. It’s just that it doesn’t work for me. My general impression is that it works best for men. Almost all the good reviews are from men. As a slim woman, I find the belt rides up to my waist (even with the adjustment recommended to me) and the Velcro is in the front which adds bulk (which I’m trying to avoid) on my tummy. The Velcro also irritates my skin and I can’t wear it for more than a few hours. I also have an issue with stool collecting around my stoma. By having the pouch horizontal, that challenges me even more. I think this is expensive but wouldn’t mind if it did the trick. I have a one piece, closed pouch and I find it cumbersome trying to tuck it neatly into the belt. I had just purchased some high waisted leggings that did the trick - much easier, cheaper, more comfortable, pouch lays even flatter, and can be vertical. Since I won’t be wearing leggings in the summer, I’ll have to come up with a solution at that time. I might try the Stealth Belt for certain activities when wearing shorts but the Velcro will still irritate and maybe more so with warm weather. Another point — I guess I didn’t get that I had to return within 10 days. I have so much on my plate and anything regarding my ostomy requires some trial. Given I had to actually wear it, that excluded me from returning it, anyway. I bought 2 and returned the one within 10 days because I didn’t have enough trial time. I didn’t want to be with 2 if it didn’t work. I did have to remind them that they had the return but I didn’t yet get credit. With the reminder, the credit was applied immediately but I felt I had to be on top of the situation.

I have a new suggestion to make. I purchased a good high waisted legging and had a seamstress make it into shorts. It hides my pouch beautifully without too much pressure. Super easy and comfortable. I can wear under shorts and slacks without the “legging shorts” from showing. It worked so well I had 5 made up. For a slim and active woman, this is a great alternative. BTW, a single pair of leggings plus seamstress charge cost me a lot less than the Stealthbelt.

I was diagnosed with crohn's disease in 1997 and had my ileostomy surgery in June of 2014. The stealth belt is the best support Belt product out there and the best part is is a low profile so you can wear just about anything. I just got my stealth belt yesterday and for the first time since I had my surgery I was able to wear a polo shirt without an undershirt. I would highly recommend the stealth belt to anybody and everybody that has had ileostomy or colostomy surgery it is well worth the investment.

I've had an ostomy since 2011. After surgery, I tried various products until I happened upon Stealth Belt. The Stealth Belt worked much better than others in every situation: the office, when sleeping, and - especially - when active. Prior to surgery, I ran, biked and swam regularly. I wasn't sure I could get back to that but, with Stealth Belt, I was able to resume those activities and return to hard training. In 2012, I completed the 140.6 mile Ironman race using my Stealth Belt and have since competed in numerous other triathlons and marathons. Dealing with an ostomy can be difficult. Buying a stealth belt was the best decision I made after surgery. I am active outside again, comfortable in public settings, and can be confident in my love life. Anyone with an ostomy would benefit from a Stealth Belt!
