I gave 0 star. I wrote the review here last year 2024 but with the pressure from my company, I had no choice to delete. Avado provided a higher discount to my company. My manager pressured me to delete as to maintain good relationships. Now, my company also found that Avado is not good and use another provider.

I began the course CIPD Level 3 on Sep 2023.Level 3 has 4 units. For the first 3 unit, it is normal. The tutor support session is very clear. Already set up the date and time. However, when coming to the last unit which is the longest and biggest one, they suddenly change practice. Suppose we entitled to 4 tutor support sessions. They change to 2 Tutor support sessions and 2 cafe cohorts. OK, no problem. But the worst is, it will not fix a date and time for you. They will list all the date and time for all cohort. The reason they gave is that if you can make it with the date and time they fixed, you can choose another date and time. As different cohort may have different tutor, the tutor in the support session indicated that this is for which cohort. You see, no different, still have a fixed date and time, but it is you to book. Even worst, the session only show which unit (remember the course consist of 4 units) but no show the cohort. I'm in Sept 23 cohort. I have no idea which date and time is for Sept 23 until at that date when I clicked to join, the tutor will tell you. Waste my time. As I don't want to miss the support session and cafe cohort, I booked all. I complain and suggest to add the cohort on each date and time for us to book. However, they change too late and then I missed 2nd tutor support session. If you think this is the end, no. The big thing happened. From the beginning of the unit, we are not told to aware one task should include a video. They just advised either use Teams or Zoom. On 29 Apr 2024 is deadline to submit the assessment. I submitted and receive a confirmation email. Today, 1 May, I received a email told me that my file is too large and can mark. Tell me to modify it and submit again. I checked with my tutor and he told me that my link is a personal sharepoint and the other download video is too big to open. He advise either to put the link through open sharepoint or upload to youtube. Please be understood that it is the business version of Microsoft that can have Teams. I as a household user, how can I have Teams and Sharepoint????? And I'm not a youtuber, how can I know how to upload to youtube and set private and unlist. It is my tutor sent me a link to a youtube video which teach how to upload a video to youtube. He told me to submit again and the deadline is Mon, 6 May 2024 at 10 am. That means I late submit. That means I will get my result a week later. That means if my assessment fail in some parts (I don't think my assessment all pass with one submission), I have 1 week less to submit 2nd attempt. Why, it is not my fault and punish me? The administration is so bad and confuse. I found in the chatroom that not only me face this problem.

Do you know what Avado means ? A Very Awful Dreadful Organisation. It is my company to let me take this course. They believe Avado is a good provider. I will complain to my company and advise not to use this provider. I'm very angry. I never come across such rubbish administration and management company. Don't forget their cost is not cheap. It is not worthwhile to pay expensive fee but receive rubbish administration and management. I make this review is under the risk of fail the assessment if Avado see this review. But I'm really very very very very very angry. I want to complain, complain, complain. Why I'm so angry, one of the reasons is that I know I would get any compensation. I would like to advise other people don't choose Avado.

I have successfully completed my CIPD Level 3 in People Practices with AVADO, achieving first-time passes for all units. I am very grateful and proud of my choice. I have recently completed my CIPD Level 5 and can highly recommend Avado as a training provider. The online resources and support form the tutors is great and my assignments were always marked and returned within a week.
I would particularly like to thank my tutor Mark Beacham for his support. I must admit the early days of studying felt overwhelming as I work full time and have 3 children. However I found Mark's online sessions/cohort cafe's incredibly useful and by sticking to the deadlines given by Avado I started the course in January 2024 and handed my final assignment in December 2024. Thank you Mark and the rest of the team at Avado for making this experience a great one!

I have just completed the level 3 HR course to help me in my role as a Dental Practice Manager. The sign up process was so simple and the team members were super helpful. The course is really well laid out and has various interactive aspects that keep the course engaging. Federica Grisanti is a kind and knowledgeable tutor who is always happy to help. I would definitely recommend this course for anyone interested in HR

"Brilliant training course"

I was slightly in doubt initially when I was doing the online CIPD training but Avado and Federica have made it super smooth. What a journey it has been since May 2024. I am lucky to get Federica as my tutor so supportive, informative and easily approachable. Hope to do other courses through Avado in the future.

"Absolutely disappointed and disgusted…"

Absolutely disappointed and disgusted with this HR learning platform.
Firstly, the course content would change mid way through the course, confusing most students.
Trying to contact the tutor is a real rigmarole: send an email to the central email who would then send it to your tutor to contact you.. apparently this process takes 3 days maximum, 2 weeks later I got a reply, needless to say I failed that module as a result. I just needed a little guidance.
Trying to contact Avado to transfer to different cohorts, non-existent customer service, ie no one will answer. Eventually I decided to select option 3 (new learners), low and behold, they answered almost immediately, they transferred me to student services who hung up.

I WILL NOT be recommending this company to anyone! The tutors are lovely but the company is diabolical! Considering they teach HR ethics etc, they do not practice their own studies.

Thanks to my review above, I have been contacted by Avado and my cohort transfer has been successfully completed.

I would like to add, at the end of the conversation, I was asked if I could delete this review from Trustpilot. As a company teaching HR professials values and standards, this is very didappointing indeed.
