Iam really disappointed with what I received. A junk not even wrapped properly they just throw into boxes and sent it to me. Iam really shocked with what I've received and the worse part is that they missed some items that were in the pictures ... complained then they offered a £5 partial refund. Really it's a terrible experience and I won't recommend anyone to buy from johnpye.co.uk
According to their terms and conditions before bidding you need to inspect the items and its sold as seen BUT they include a junk items (broken, missing parts, some wiring...) and the pictured ones are not working 😕 so what's the point of buying from them???
Hopefully they will give me a full refund to make an end to this.

Update: I paid almost £40 for a junk and Iam not exaggerating JUNK. The pictured items were boxed and looked new so I was expecting after buying 3 lots to save money and get customer returns with minor or cosmetic defects but what I received is broken items, charging leads not pictured, toys broken or incomplete, 2 hoovers that couldn't make even 1 good out of 2 ... the worse is that they didn't send what I thought valuable items and after investigation they offered £5 partial refund.
Any reviews with 5 stars is a complete lie don't fall for it and learn from hundreds ripped of by johnpye.co.uk like myself.

I wanted to share me findings about John Pye. As long as you stick to the rules, read everything, you will be fine....if you buy anything without seeing it, the risk is on you. i have genuinely bought some fantastic bargains, found the staff very helpful,. Great items if you do your homework, if you get it wrong blame yourself, not their staff as its all there, you just read it!

I bought 2 items each for £22 and £16 but my invoice total was £71.38 I think it is a huge difference and this device was 2 second hands.
I think buying from a private will be a real price.
my advice: auctions are not really a good choice

DO NOT buy a car on this company unless it has KEYS and RUNNING, they sold me a sieved engine, a scrap metal. It did not have keys.
AND IF THE CAR IS IN GOOD CONDITION, I PERSONALLY THINK THEY COUNTER BET INTERNALLY UNTIL THEY GET THE PRICE THEY WANT, EXAMPLE this Good van below IN Edinburgh reappeared more than FIVE TIMES EVERY TIME I BET AND COULD NOT WIN, BUT THE SCRAP DEFECT WAS QUICK WIN

"Absolutely untrustable company"

Absolutely untrustable company, they selling sometimes damaged items to sell it like new, if you'll create a complaint they says you had a chance to see the items no t my fault, this is the company! I had a missing item and they don't want to do anything about it. They said we'll pay back the 25% of the lot. This amount means we absolutely don't care about the customers or they lots after payment. This is this company, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING!!!!

I am using this site last six month but I am not happy about there way of listing . most of items are used badly and no information on listing its new or used in cloths the pocket full even used tissue paper in side and very dirty look like taken out from charity bags. Electronic item look like Temu staff witch is very cheep online with free delivery basically most of item are online shopping fatly and returned most of box like Helford are there butt most of parts are missing from box with is very expensive to buy on line to complete working order and most of things not in working order with is not display on listing.
In Action hammer price is £4 pounds butt total invoice is £18 pounds witch is very expensive. please thing twice to bid any item.

What can I say about this company other than rubbish. I purchased a Smeg toaster and 2 Smeg kettles. The descriptions are very poor. They just state what they are and not condition the items are in. I bought these as present's for a family member and was overjoyed when I had won. Then it all ended when they arrived. The toaster was used and not new and so were both the kettles. One of the kettles was broken as the lid didn't close once opened and the other is so full of limescale it's through the nozzle. I emailed John Pye Auctions who said the contract states one rule after another. I explained that I have the right by law to reject the items within 14 days of receiving them and they sent me a huge list of reasons from the contract as to why I won't get a refund. I will contest this and I will take them to the small claims court.

"Extremely long processing times"

I won the item, paid two days after, the status was "Preparing order" for over a week, so I decided to cancel it and ask for a refund. After 27 days, the item is still in "Preparing order" status, lucky I managed to get my money back.

"Avoid at all costs"

Avoid at all costs. Sales and packing terrible and customer relations / complaints are worse. They are not interested in dealing with the issues that have been caused by themselves, they only want your funds in their bank.

Company sent an electrical item (which was not listed as not being operational) in inadequate packaging. Item was sent loose without care in a box with items left loose inside the product itself also. Item arrived damaged from rattling about loose inside box and from items being left inside the items door. The door does not even close under its own weight such is the extent of the damage. Courier tape had also been applied by DPD due to inadequate packaging.
The customer service team were not interested in answering any of my questions and they have hidden behind T&Cs for purchasing although grievance is regarding damage in transit. As mentioned John Pye are not interested and have refused to offer a refund for damaged in transit items. They have also refused to answer any of my questions regarding the item and inappropriate packaging.

JohnPye hide behind the goods being second hand and so can ultimately send you a non working item without being described. The damage sustained to the item in transit has been passed on with videos and images however they are refusing to deal with the situation.

This is a terrible company and this is not the first instance I have dealt with regarding inadequate packaging damaging items. Sadly for me I thought they may have changed.

Currently John Pye have £178 of my money for sending me a non working item that has been severely damaged in transit. The videos provided along with images and questions should be enough for a standard retailed to see the differences and then offer the best customer service to deal with the situation. John Pye will have insurance with the courier etc. but are not interested in resolving this issue. Personally I feel very let down and so from this experience I would strongly recommend that you do not use them based on my experience.
