This is our second replacement in 5 years, because we installed the previous one despite the hinges not being the perfect fit. Could not know before I opened the bag and could not return after.
This new model has better hinges, by chance as one does not select the hinges. However, the fit is not as good. Perhaps the selection choices could give more information.

"Overpriced Laufen toilet seat"

Discovered that our Laufen Palace toilet seat that had cracked was discontinued despite it not being installed that long ago. In the UK this was the cheapest price we found and it was delivered very quickly. It was available in Germany For £99 plus delivery but they will not send to the UK!!! Think the price Laufen charge for a toilet seat is appalling when the quality is obviously not that good and we now need to buy another one as a spare as they don't manufacture anything else that will fit and they told us we would need to change the actual toilet.
