I think Chipperfield is a good supplier but I did experience a problem. On the minus side, I ordered a new mower but was in error supplied by delivery with a used one. On the plus, side they let me keep the used one while, they said, they would source another new one for me. In fact, three weeks later I went into the store and bought a replacement mower on site which was already in stock. So it worked out well in the end.

"Awful to empty"
The mower constantly gets blocked and is so difficult to empty. A waste of money and poor customer service. I emailed weeks ago to get help with this issue but no reply.

"A little disappointed"
I was replacing an old mower and took advise to buy the machine I did. Compared to the very old mower I had I feel this one is quite shoddily made- to the point that the person delivering the machine and assembling it managed to snap one of the handles. So yes it is a mower that works but I think I could have got a similar quality cheaper. Mountfield I always took as one of the better makes but I will not feel that in future

Good delivery. On time as stated, however the mower, I now know has an ongoing fault with the rear roller, first time I used the mower the roller came apart, took it a Mountfield agent under warranty, he said Mountfield have known about this for 3 years but still not addressed the issue!!!.
Not MowDirects fault, down to Mountfield

"You get what you pay for and that's OK"
The ordering was simple and the delivery was on time. The delivery driver was one of the most unfriendly and unhelpful possible ( he should really change careers) and literally dumped the machine at the edge of the road on a pallet. No further instructions. Took sometime to work out how to move the new machine firstly off the pallet and secondly up the drive as there were no instructions regarding taking the machine out of gear! The brand new machine was a bit scratched and there was part of the order missing. That all said the mower started easily once set up. It is a very sensitive mower and cuts out frequently due to a bump in the grass. Doesn't then start easily without emptying the colection box on your lawn! No response to emails due to there being a collective approach to the business ( I did not buy the mower through Chipperfield but through Mowers Direct) . They sent the missing part of the order and were helpful on the phone once I managed to get through. Only one key with the machine which is a shame.I guess you get what you pay for and it is nice to have a newer mowere than the one it replaced and the more I use it the more I get used to its foibles like you can't get off it and keep the motor running. Overall happy although not so impresssed.
