"Very quick delivery good communication"

I found this company very quick to deliver and helpful in providing an invoice as requested by myself.
I've since seen some very bad reviews but can only speak as I find.

Chipperfields provided a 1st. Class on line shopping experience.
Advice, help and service all excellent. My thanks to Lawrence and his team, I now possess a fantastic machine, so I'm off to mow a meadow.

"Useless company paid for a ride on…"

Useless company paid for a ride on mower online,£1700 no communication at all,I had to phone to ask where my mower was and when it was being delivered,got a phone call saying 2 weeks,waited 2 weeks and nothing,so got in touch again and was told another 3 weeks so I cancelled the order,that was the 12 September and am still waiting for a refund,phoned yesterday and was told it would be in my account that day,still not in phoned again and have been promised a phone call today.i won’t hold my breath,useless company,and liars.do not use Chipperfield gm or mow direct.....now after all this time they are whinging about my review,took a few years,I stand by this review they ARE useless I would NEVER recommend this company and Trustpilot will obviously side with the company and remove this honest review Trustpilot are definitely getting worse

"Poor After Sales Service"

I purchased a ride-on mower on the 8th August with delivery the following Monday. I was assured that a representative would show us how the machine worked on delivery. By 5.00pm the following Monday the item had not arrived and had to telephone Chiperfield. The van had broken now and they had neglected to contact us but it would arrive on the Wednesday by courier, which it did. It arrived jammed on a broken pallet and we had to get the assistance of a neighbour to remove it.
We discovered on first use that it was side eject only and not a mulcher as promised. We have over 1 acre of lawn and need the mulcher. I contacted them and was assured it would be with us next day. Unfortunately it did not arrive and I rang the following Monday to be told they would investigate. By the Tuesday I had to telephone again and duly spoke to the sales manager who assured me it would arrive the next day, which it did. Unfortunately there were no instructions on how to assemble it, again as promised. I telephoned twice this morning, to be left on hold for long periods of time with no solution. I would not recommend on my experience Chipperfield, as their after sales service is somewhat lacking and I am extremely disappointed. I have now contacted them via email and await their response.

"Hopeless communication, no refund - Avoid"

Hopeless communication, no refund forthcoming a month later for non delivery of goods. Ordered brush cutter, did not arrive as promised, been chasing for a full refund for a month. Excuse after excuse. Their paypal account clocked, systems not working so cant find the order, MD moving house. Promised ful refund direct to my account on Monday, nothing received and its now close of play Thursday. Next stop the courts. Avoind at all costs.

"Problems and zero return…"

Problems and zero return calls.....promise's of help, but nothing......help will only happen if they can make more money from you.......£240 still owed by Mow Direct, Chipperfield promised to help and have done nothing. Make no mistake, this is the same company. They say they have licenced the web site from mow direct to help their customers who have lost out, but they do nothing unless that means "they" make the money......If you have already lost money, all they say is contact your credit card and claim the money back that way.....but some of us are awaiting a part refund, promised in lew of faulty goods and bad service...again, dreadful service and zero help......sick of the constant empty promise's....



STILL NOTHING......STILL 240 OUT OF POCKET AND A LUMBERED WITH A SUB STANDARD MOWER WITH NO CHANCE OF A REPAIRS.....STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY..

"Chipperfield were amazing!!"

I was caught up in the Mow Direct / Chipperfield scenario last week, web order on Mow Direct, phoned to query order but got through to Chipperfield, some delay to be honest but Lawrence, Ben & Andrew all very open & honest about what the issue was & each personally took ownership to investigate and resolve asap, everything they said they would do they did! Courier failed delivery to me Friday, no fault at all of Chipperfield, so on Saturday Andrew drove from London via the St Albans shop to collect the strimmer & personally delivered to me that afternoon in Bedford. Problems happen but this was text book in terms of how best to manage and support your customer IN THE VERY BEST POSSIBLE WAY. No idea who Mow Direct are/were but I will have no hesitation buying from Chipperfield again and based on dealing with people you can totally trust would very highly recommend them.

"This is the same company as Mowdirect - same VAT number and directors"

This is the same company as Mowdirect. It looks like Mowdirect.co.uk used to have great reviews, but recently has fallen apart. Avoid like the plague - and check out recent Mowdirect reviews (the VAT number, address and directors are the same for Chipperfield.co.uk and Mowdirect.co.uk).

Buyer beware! They initially denied they were the same company. I have been stonewalled for three weeks after they collected a faulty mower. I called Chipperfield - first time said they weren't the same company, when I asked for a director by name, I was put through to accounts. The lady I spoke to was ever so apologetic and promised to fix everything, then didn't. Watch the papers - this is going to trading standards.

If you buy this month with discount code be sure to type carefully. I miss typed and the company refused to give me the discount. Woman on phone was abrupt verging on rudeness. Other lady pleasant and polite. So be careful
