"Bought a petrol scarifier in May 2020"

Bought a petrol scarifier in May 2020. Item delivered promptly. Drive belt parted on first use but replacement (much better quality) arranged by Mark, arrived quickly and fitted by me. Next use late August machine started easily but suddenly stopped after working well for a while. I assessed it to be an electical issue. Took a few emails to Chipperfield/Mow Direct/BuyandDrop and 2 phone calls to finally get the ear of a mechanic (Ian) who then acted quickly, arranged for the machine to be picked up, repaired (replacement coil required) and send it back to me in running order. Ian phoned me twice and was most helpful.

Great buying experience. We were not happy with our choice of lawnmower but Neil readly agreed to collect the machine from us to check it out and, even though there was nothing wong with the machine itself, he then allowed us to select another model and delivered it to us the same day

"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY"

Looking for new ride-on mower but offered an 'ex-demo', 'fully serviced' with usual warranty Mountfield 1530H model. When arrived it looked like a well used & dirty 2nd hand machine, no towbar for polycart also ordered. When unpacked it didn't start, after un-successful phone calls had to get local company to fix and service. After months of wrangling we have finally been reimbursed for tow-bar and service but still no paperwork as promised. Now, this week the saga continues, the engine won't stop, even with key removed and had to stop by taking spark plug out!!
No point in emailing Chipperfields as they don't respond but perhaps this review might get some action, if not we take legal action to get a refund?

The only company to answer their phones and not hide behind covid 19. They answered my questions and Ben helped me decide which lawnmower to buy to suit my needs. Prompt delivery and so far the lawnmower is great.

"Really like this ride-on mower"

Really like this ride-on mower. It has a great cut and very good value for money. Only not got 5 stars as it wont reverse and cut at the same time. Safety feature? cuts the engine when you put mower in reverse gear. A small inconvenience for a great ride-on at a price well below others on the market.
