"Uncontactable Customer service"
We ordered a mower which arrived very quickly. Unfortunately a part was broken in the box. The box was fine and it looked like bad packing. My partner has sent emails, spent hours on the phone trying to get through to no avail. Your customer service is none existent. Please contact us to resolve this problem. Order no.800273292. Williams
Chipperfields comments below show an attempt to shift the blame for their inadequacies to COVID. Having read their reviews for the summer of 2019 it is clear that their uncontactable customer service department is the norm for chipperfield. Stay away!

"Worst & non existent customer service-dodgy"
I purchased an Einhell GC-PM 46/2 S HW-E lawnmower from them last week, delivered within 4 days but that's when the problems started. Loose self-tapper screw with remnants of plastic on thread fell out of the box. I tried to assemble the lawnmower as per instructions and one of the star nuts to attach the handle bars together was faulty so I cannot use the lawnmower now. The handlebar hole for screw to insert into was supposed to be a square hole but was damaged so much it looked like someone had hit it with a hammer. The same handlebar was also badly scratched like someone had dropped it before. There was oil all over the lawnmower as well which is surprising as there was no oil in the lawnmower and none was shipped in the box. I now have an unusable dodgy lawnmower and no response from the company after trying everything including multiple emails and every number available, which after reading all the reviews here about said company explains a lot. I wished I had searched for these true reviews rather than believe all the 5 star ones they had plastered all over their website. Their sister company Mow Direct also has the exact same reviews and same contact numbers. neither can be contacted. Stay away from this company!

"Purchased a Racing 62pr ride on mower…"
Up date: Chipperfield reported my review to get it removed from trust pilot, if you feel the same as I do send your paperwork to trust pilot to get the review approved as genuine. If they don`t like your review they try to get them taken down. If you don`t send in your paperwork they will keep doing what they always seem to do. Try to dodge the issue.
Purchased a Racing 62pr ride on mower from this company. Was supposed to come with oil and bolts to put it together, these were missing. Have called, they never answer the phone, have left voice mails, they never reply to them, have sent god knows how many e-mails, to customer services, and parts department which again don't reply to.
At the finish I have purchased the bolts and oil myself which cost £15 to fit the seat and steering wheel. so at least I have a mower, which is more than a lot of people have got.
Don't believe their messages when you call about customer service being second to none.
They may be right if you turn it round, it is second, and there is none.
This company is rubbish, would never purchase from them again.
I just wish I had read these reviews before I purchased from them.
I cant give less than 1 star or I would.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

"Terrible experience, terrible company. Awful"
Terrible experience, payment failed then requested bank transfer. Paid said transfer. Item was then out of stock. Then had to chase for weeks and weeks to get a refund, nobody was helpful in the slightest until I started making noise on social media. Would never recommend to anyone. Probably the worst company I've ever had to deal with. Only thanks is to Max who manages the social media who managed to eventually secure a refund. Now unable to get the model I wanted as out of stock everywhere. Steer clear. Awful

"Good company and great services"
Good company and great services!
I was looking for a generator due to the recent storm, and I found the ones sold by Chipperfield Garden Machinery.
Quick delivery of the product and very easy to use!
Now I can avoid the light cuts thanks to my petrol generator!

"0 stars at best verging on fraudulent"
Unfortunately I did not look on Trustpilot before purchasing a ride-on mower from Chipperfield. What a rogue company this is! Please avoid at all costs. The mower was delivered on a rickety, patched together, improvised pallet. It appeared to have slipped in transit and was no longer level. After being advised by telephone to try it out I required help from a neighbour to remove it from the ‘pallet’. On initial tryout it seemed fine, cutting slightly heavy on one side, however on a second occasion it was noisy, then when used to actually do a mowing the noise was much worse. There began a long saga of lies, lies, more lies. Customer Services never answer, endless promises by sales staff that customer services will call me to arrange a local company to service. In the end I needed to formally reject the mower and tell Chipperfield to come and collect it. There was absolutely no contact from Chipperfield after it was collected. It was over 2 weeks later before I got through to a sales person who promised faithfully that the money would be in my account within 48 hours. It wasn’t. When I emailed that I would make a County Court claim the ex-director, AG, actually replied wondering why I was so ‘aggressive’ – his word. He also promised to refund – words, words, more words. The claim was issued using the courts online service moneyclaimsdotservicedotgovdotuk. No response was received from Chipperfield within the statutory 14 days. This meant it was now possible for me to request an automatic County Court Judgement (CCJ) against Chipperfield. Strangely enough, when I emailed Chipperfield to inform them that I would be requesting the CCJ the following day, I then received an immediate call back and the full refund was received into my bank account. They had my money for 3 months.
I needed to go through this whole process because, on making the purchase, I was told that this particular mower was a manager’s special and could not be purchased using a credit or debit card. The salesperson had appeared to be so knowledgeable about the mower that, against all my better judgement, I was persuaded (tricked?) into making a direct bank transfer. Looking through all previous Trustpilot reviews, it is my personal opinion that Chipperfield have learnt that customers have been able to reclaim money from the company via their card issuers. I suspect that this approach of requesting a bank transfer may be repeated with future potential customers. It seems to me that Chipperfield has a business model of relying on a certain number of customers giving up on refunds.
The company, that still maintains a sister website called Mowdirect, is now actually 80% owned by a French entity, which is now the executive director as can be seen at Companies House registration for Chipperfield Ltd.

"i ordered a mower for next working day…"
i ordered a mower for next working day on Friday 16 August, expecting it to deliver on Monday 19th August. However it didnt. I had been assured on the Saturday it had been dispatched. I rang on 20th August to be told the supplier hadnt dispatched it. I there requested a refund to my PAYPAL account. It has taken until today 3 September for the refund to be given & that was only after numerous phone calls to the company anf opening a case with PAYPAL. Never again will I use them. Poor service and whats worse they lie about whats happening!
