"Useless assembly instructions"

The grass box very awkward to assemble and the assembly instructions handle almost unfathomable, you have to resort to trial and error and past experience of putting similar devices together which is a shame as the mower itself is very good.

"Painful"

People are great, but painful experience with my order. Tried three times to order my product. First time i was told order cancelled because no stock. Second time told order cancelled because payment failure. Third time product arrived in battered box & was faulty (clearly had been returned previously due to manufacturing fault).
Still waiting to dig my hole with a post hole digger!!

I had a really good experience with this company. I ordered a ride on mower, and it arrived next day. Excellent communications every step of the way. The product was excellent, no problems. I would use them again without hesitation.

"I bought a lawnmower off this company…"

I bought a lawnmower off this company and I have to say I regret it,zero customer service ,and when I sent a stonking rant of an email, some technician contacted me from maintainance to chase up the problem.I missed the call,he left a message ,I tried ringing back bu tno answer ,think the lawnmower was a dud from the start.I now have to disconnnect a wire in order to start it.Absolute joke of an operation.
On reading the reply you sent me,you tried to contact me once and when I tried to contact you back,it was a waste of time.Even your reply is not sincere and show how little you care for customer service and future sales.

"Like other customers who have had the most miserable experience"

Like other customers who have dealt with this company, if they do not like your honest review they claim to trust pilot you are not a genuine customer and request trustpilot to remove your review as they have done to me today. Lucky I have all their paper work and kept photographic evidence of my lawn mowers "service" safety interlocks on my ride on mower bridged with pieces of wire (sea occupancy switch which is designed to cut the engine for safety and stop the mower should you fall off the machine) where they have lost circlips they are an absolute bunch of charlatans. I only wrote a trust pilot review about their shoddy workmanship I have now reported to trading standards and will report to health and safety regarding the shorting out out safety interlocks as opposed to ensuring they operate to design specification.
Look at all the abysmal reviews of this company, is it all these customers are be untruthful regarding their experience or on the balance of probabilities they have had the worst experience from this terrible lot, use your own judgement

"Stay away from Chipperfield"

Worst company in the world to deal with, lacking in customer service, communication skills and honesty.
If you need a new lawnmower avoid Chipperfield like the plague. If they were the only company in the world that sold Lawnmowers I'd recommend you use your garden shears instead. Stay away from them or any other names trading from the same location.

I regret buying my lawnmower from them and I sincerely hope they regret the day that they sold me one.

I won't stop posting on a daily basis until my mower is functioning again.

The truth hurts.
Remember avoid them at all costs, go somewhere else for your new mower.

If you were thinking about buying a new lawnmower today, be carefull and stay away from this company that trade under a variety of names in London Colney
I regret buying my new mower here as the attitude totally changes if you need any after sales support as you will see from my previous review.

The worst possible company to deal with. Be aware that they trade under a number of different names at the London Colney location.
Buying a mower was a good experience however 6 months later trying to get a repair done under warranty is impossible. They had my mower since the 25th June and haven't touched it. Customer service is non existent and when you get hold of someone they promise to call you back but never do.
They give you false information and lie to you. Finally yesterday, after 5 phone calls and two personal visits to them they told me Mountfield were sending the necessary replacement parts. I called Mountfield to confirm this and they categorically denied this was the case. Am I surprised?
I sent an email and followed it up with a phone call. Result, they don't like to be told the companies customer service is lacking nor that the staff lie. Come get your mower and get it repaired elsewhere.
I paid a local gardener £15: to cut my lawn last night and now I'm taking my mower some distance to another dealership, they were very polite and professional on the phone.
STAY AWAY FROM CHIPPERFIELD and do yourself a favour.
I bought my last mower a Qualcast from B & Q and it lasted 7 years, a lesson to be learnt.

"Shambles"

Shambles. Purchased a mower which was meant for delivery in May. Purchase went through but for some reason theu cancelled the order without notifying me. Painful to get through to resolve or get any decent alternatives from them. Gave up in the end. Useless and frustrating company
