"Egress"

My enquiry was answered very quick. I had a response as soon as I emailed them. I was given several opportunities to be supported throughout. The call handler was very patient and if I was unsure he talked me through the procedure. I would definatly recommend Egress.

"mixed feelings about egress"

It works ok but you can’t access past emails very easily. I did contact them about this, once they helped, second time they did not help at all.

"Really brilliant support both via email…"

Really brilliant support both via email and in person. Having set up Egress through Gmail, I was struggling to then set it up on Outlook. Having tried lots out from the online help it wasn't getting anywhere. I don't consider myself very technologically minded and they guided me through so clearly, not once talking down to me. I was really impressed with everyone that supported me both via email and on the phone.

"Sending encrypted emails is so easy :)"

Sending secure emails has never been easier, there is the option to send each email encrypted to provide security or you can easily change the classification (via a dropdown) to send the email unprotected.

"What an awful system. why do British government departments use it?"

What an awful system. I recently replied to an a secure email from a regulatory body that is accountable to the HM Treasury. The email was sent using Egress as the secure messaging system. Never before have I come across such a dreadful email platform. I wrote my email response in Microsoft Word and copied it into egress but all the formatting was lost. I then tried to replicate the formatting but egress formatting tools are so limited it was impossible. I then found there was a limit on the number of files that can be attached. To add insult to injury, there was a survey button on the left hand corner of the system... but the survey link had expired. The company is a tiny software developer (£22m turnover and £9m of pretax loss in the year to end December 2021) and simply is unable to compete with the bigger and better platforms that are available. It beggars belief that any British government department or related organisation would use this system. I know we want to support Britain's tech but this egress is a bad example of it!

"Egress are amazing"

Egress were very quick to respond to the support ticket I raised. The team is very knowledgeable and my issue was resolved to a satisfactorily level promptly. There communication is excellent, and they are prepared to have Teams calls (screen sharing sessions) to fully understand the issue. 5 stars for Egress!
