"Comically Slow CAR subscription…"
Dreadfully slow CAR subscription delivery, mag would be gone from local shelves by the time it arrived. For digital version, unbelieveably it was worse, yearly subscription would self cancel numerous times over the year, excuses were comical. Avoid

"Unable to get money back for double payment. Awful subscription model."
Ambiguous subscription model for Empire Magazine which resulted in me being charged twice. When I complained about this I was not even offered an apology let alone a refund of my money.
It seems you are mostly likely to be stung by this with gift subscriptions, as you have the option to set a start date for the subscription. This functionality appears to not work.
They are sharks. Avoid.

"Avoid like the plague!"
Subscribed to Total TV for a year in February. Since then four issues have failed to arrive. I've had enough now and would like to cancel However, they make that very difficult. Can't even see an option to do so on their 'manage' my account page!
Further problems: eventually managed to speak to a person. He also tried to talk me into giving them another chance but I made it quite clear that I had definitely decided to cancel. He said he would forward the matter to another office and they would confirm it to me. I then got another email once again offering me an extension before I cancelled. I replied right away saying (for the nth time!) No thanks I want to cancel. All I got in reply was yet another automated reply. My conclusion is: avoid this lot like the plague. Once you subscribe there is no way out!!

"Buyer beware ..... React Quickly"
I opted for a yearly digital subscription for Anglers Mail. Paid via card. Got confirmation email with personal member number. Followed instructions to no avail. Sent email, no reply, made phone call no answer. Rang bank, told them problem and wanted my money back; no problem, sorted. Whole process was done within 6 days. In this day and age of technology there is no valid excuse, even with Covid-19 around, to delay this service.

"Continued taking money after cancelling subscription"
Rang to cancel as there was no other way to stop subscription. Was assured that it would be stopped but they carried on taking DD.
Avoid buying from them, and if you have made the same mistake as me, make sure you cancel DD and notify them in writing.

"Beware of the Tesco Clubcard partner pricing!"
Beware of the Tesco Clubcard partner pricing! I costed up a yearly subscription to a gardening magazine at a cost of £62 which was very reasonable. I then converted £21 of Clubcard vouchers into £63 for use as a voucher code - brilliant I thought! Only to find out once I received the redemption link that the price went up to £110 just because of it being a Tesco Clubcard affiliate link. I am now left with £63 of useless vouchers for this company as I can’t get them refunded. I find this price gouging practice to be thoroughly appalling! 😡

"Misleading, dishonest, revolting."
Well, I wish I’d have saved myself time and checked the reviews prior. Misleading and dishonest company, that have done everything that they can to prevent cancellation of a given subscription. Why not spend that effort and time into developing a half decent service instead? Absolutely bemused by the thought process here. Stay well clear, don’t even get involved.

"Not so great magazines! We subscribed to a TV Guide and the…Not so great magazines!"
We subscribed to a TV Guide and the first copy we received was in the middle of the week so that we had to buy the magazine from the newsagents. This week's programs finish today and no new magazine. What is the use of that. I have had to order regular copies from local newsagent.Great Magazines say they need 14 days to reply to complaints

"BEWARE OF FREE TRIALS"
The website is very poor and the information on how to cancel the subscription is very hidden away. It should be stated to you before and after you sign up --
Trial subscription - Please note your next payment is taken in advance of the last copy of the trial period being sent. This is because all subscription payments are made in advance of the copies being sent to maintain continuity of the subscription. Should you decide that you do not wish to continue with the subscription you will need to cancel the next payment immediately after the first payment has been taken. However, once the 2nd payment has been claimed from your bank account the subscription will continue until cancelled by yourself at the bank and/or ourselves.
When paying for a subscription via your Credit/debit card your subscription is usually for a minimum period of 12 months. If the offer period is different then the number of issues will be shown on the offer page.
Once a payment has been collected, no refund will be made and any cancellation will be from the next claim date of the payment.
Continuous Credit/Debit Card payments - You have the right to cancel your continuous card payment and must do this at your bank and/or with ourselves. If you do cancel, you will receive only the issues you have already paid for.
Direct Debit - You have the right to cancel your Direct Debit in accordance with Direct Debit Guarantee. If you do cancel, you will receive only the issues you have already paid for.

"Absolutely do not subscribe to this…"
Absolutely do not subscribe to this shower of a company. I have received only 3 out of 6 monthly magazines so far. Excuse after excuse is trotted out, current favourite is the Virus. My problems began way before that.
