I agree with a previous comment that this is a totally inadequate replacement for the Talktalk Viewbox. I have no interest in streaming, on demand or mobil TV. All I want is a decent prgramme recorder. My box is going back to Talktalk.
In retrospect in fairness to this product, it was used by Talktalk to replace what was effectively a hard drive recorder which this product is not. Hence the adverse comments from Talktalk users. This product which is probably spot on for its designed use should never have been used by Talktalk for a product with a different remit. Bad call Talktalk.

I loathe it. Can’t get most channels and can’t find how to stop subscription - neither phone number I was given works. AVOID. Never worked properly…..

Talktalk provide me with a Netgem 4k tv box after my Youview box failed. I am not pleased with the upgrade. Initially I couldn’t record any BBC channels, though others were OK. After about a week this resolved itself. No idea why. Recording facility is generally very limited with only one tuner present. So often can’t record one program while watching another. My5 app also doesn’t work. Other apps are OK. My5 works OK on other tvs in the house, but not on Netgem. Also Netgem app on Android phone doesn’t work but it does on Apple IPad.
Talktalk has been absolutely no help at all. Spent hours on chat helpline, to no avail. I don’t think they know about tithe Netgem box, probably too new to them.
Overall not a good experience with Netgem box.

"Great little box"
After a little delay to receiving the box, everything works perfectly, I added a hard drive to it to record shows and it has all the catch-up players that I need,
I do think it is missing some key apps like Now and Apple TV but I think it's a great device

Recently received a replacement tv box from talktalk the 4K box. If your unfortunate to not have a free view play tv it's great, however if you were planning on recording on it, here's the problem. You can ONLY record one programme at a time and you CAN NOT watch anything else while doing that. A completely pointless process.

"All right until things go wrong"
Initially was very impressed with this box, although disappointed that you can only record one thing at the same time. However it keeps missing the start (up to 5 minutes) of programmes it records and getting help is impossible. There is one of these awful help 'bots' that seems to think it is fun to answer a different question to the one you've asked and when it passes you to a human NOTHING HAPPENS. The app is now coming up "Account Suspended" and the email address it directs you to for further help DOES NOT EXIST. I am beginning to think that Amazon have sold me a defunct piece of equipment.

I've just switched my TV service to Netgem TV. Have to say I'm extremely impressed so far. It's easy to use - the screens are really bright and visual, and the picture and sound quality are both excellent. I like the fact that I'm in control of my subscriptions so I can pick and choose from one month to the next. For anyone looking for a reliable and high-quality TV service at a reasonable price I'd recommend Netgem TV.

"I actually hate this new Netgem box…"
I actually hate this new Netgem box that Talktalk has lumbered me with. I'm paying the same for less. It doesn't record without a USB, and I still don't know if the UBB function will work. Bought a 1TB USB, but it actually had 1.05TB so wouldn't initialise. So have to buy another USB. There is no information about USB use. I had to look it up online. Having tried to initialise the USB and it not working, that seems to have affected the time shift function that no longer works. I hate catch up TV and the constant logging in. I just want to watch TV and make recordings of the programmes I like, but I'm not home to watch. The TV Guide is also horrible in colour and layout.
