"Disappointing"
Three stars for the good itinerary, excellent driver and guide.
In the tour description the hotels were listed as superior and premium. I understand that in Guatemala the infrastructure is different from the UK and the US. Most of our hotels lacked BASIC amenities such as hot water and fans in warm climate and heaters in cold climate, in lieu of air conditioning.
In the information we were told that even if we paid single supplement we MIGHT have to share a room for one night. Instead they added another couple to the promised 12 people, and gave them an extra cabin. As a consequence instead of having a single room we were forced to a triple. This is completely unconscionable and unacceptable.
In Flores instead of the gorgeous Villa Maya Hotel that was promised on the website we were given rooms with the view of a trash filled and probably mosquitos infested lagoon in the Maya International hotel.
Looking back I'll probably remember the beautiful sights, but at the time I felt very deceived by Wild Frontiers.

"Wonderful Bhutan"
My second trip with WF. Both trips have had excellent itineraries with a good mix of sights and hikes. The tour leaders and guides have been excellent too, with a good standard of accommodation. My most recent trip was with my wife to Bhutan. Out of a total trip of over 14 weeks, our two weeks in Bhutan with WF were the pinnacle. A fantastic, clean, beautiful country with a fascinating history that has gone to great lengths to preserve its unique culture.

"Our second trip with Wild Frontiers"
Our second trip with Wild Frontiers, and it will not be our last. Guatemala was a country with a culture and history we knew little about, hence choosing to visit. The trip turned out to be a revelation! A fascinating and varied itinerary gave us many wonderful experiences - Tikal, Chiminos Island and the boat ride to Livingstone being just three. Our tour guide, Oscar, was knowledgeable, friendly and caring. It was just over far too quickly! To be highly recommended.

"Namibia up close and personal"
This was my first, but not my last for sure, trip with Wild Frontiers. There are several factors in this, but I would say the driving force is the tour guide who was local, friendly, knowledgeable and fun. Our group was small, with only 6 of us, so we had a very personal experience. Additionally, this tour took us to parts of Namibia that many of the other tours miss. Our accommodations and food were top notch and I would highly recommend The Sands of Time.

"Fabulous"
We had a fabulous time on the WF India in Slow Motion trip. I would highly recommend the company for a unique and fascinating itinerary, great guide, quality of accommodation and organisation.

"Another fascinating trip with Wild…"
Another fascinating trip with Wild Frontiers as Saudi Arabia opens its doors to tourism. As with a previous WF trip to Iran, it felt like our guide was taking a group of friends around her country and showing us a bit of everything - we visited major sites such as Hegra, AlUla and Medina but also dipped into cafes for local specialties, spent time with a family in their home and had a stunning hike around the Al Hatima crater. Saudi hospitality meant we were welcomed with coffee and dates wherever we went and saw everything from camel-driven irrigation systems to state of the art interactive museums. The hotels were excellent and we ate at a variety of restaurants, all providing far more food than we could finish. If you want a rich and varied trip, I'd certainly recommend Wild Frontiers.

"My husband and I joined the…"
My husband and I joined the Wildfrontiers trip to Uzbekistan in November. We had a fantastic experience! This trip was incredibly well organized and our tour leader was simply outstanding! Her love of the country, its history and culture was simply infectious. The hotels, restaurants were all very good. The only part of the trip that was not perfect was the 8 hour drive from Khiva to Bukhara - there has to be a better way! We are planning another holiday with Wildfrontiers for 2025!

"Excellent first trip - Laos Unlocked"
First trip with Wild Frontiers and really impressed with them.
Really great trip with one of the best tour leaders ever (Mark, whose love for Laos shines through).
Chose trip because, unlike most, it visits the Plain of Jars.
Some long days driving because the roads were bad after rainy season but so worth it.
Some highlights - Leader Mark's school (Lone Buffalo) in Phonsovan and visiting the bomb clearance sites nearby.
Accommodation was excellent, especially the last two nights.

"Egypt--a trip of a life-time!"
A Nile cruise had been on my travel wishlist for a long time, and thanks to Wild Frontiers I was able to make my vision for this trip come true.
We usually don't do guided tours, but honestly I can't imagine traveling this itinerary any other way. The Wild Frontiers desk officer for this trip—Kenny—guided me patiently and efficiently through all the arrangements and dealt with my many detailed (perhaps annoyingly so?!?) questions.
The guide for the trip itself—Hanan—was fantastic. She’s a trained Egyptologist, and you’d be foolish to visit all these astonishing antiquities without a guide of her caliber. After a while, the temples and tombs all tend to blur together, but Hanan’s infectious enthusiasm spurred us onward! Wild Frontiers also has some top-notch local partners, and their behind-the-scenes magic made the experience seem effortless. There’s no way you could make all this happen on your own without shouldering a giant logistical burden. I especially loved Nile cruise portion of the trip—bird-watching, stopping at small villages and learning about people’s lives, and simply gliding along on this beautiful, important river.
Our Cairo pre-extension was equally outstanding. We had some unusual requests, including searching for a building that was waaay off the beaten tourist track. But our lovely guide—Radwa—took it all in stride! I hadn't realized how essential it is to have a guide in Cairo to buffer you from the city’s epic chaos. Radwa was both calm and competent, making it possible for us to enjoy this wonderful, overwhelming, historic city to its full extent. Now we have to decide which Wild Frontiers trip to do next!

"Another fabulous Wild Frontiers tour"
Another fabulous Wild Frontiers experience - Village India in Slow Motion (Chandrabhaga Fair). From booking to actually being on tour with Abhi. We were a small group, only five, and this was perfect. So many highlights and 'off script' experiences. As the title suggests, it was slow motion, enough downtime to recharge the batteries before the next wonderful experience.
