"Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan"

We had a wonderful time in Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan with Wild Frontiers. The trip was very well organised but flexible to adjust to what the group wanted to do. The hotels and restaurants were very good, the guides were superb and our leader excellent. The countries are fascinating and we were given a good insight into history, culture and life today.

"Wild Frontiers is the best travel…"

Wild Frontiers is the best travel company in the industry for countries beyond Western Europe. My husband and I are experienced travelers and we’ve traveled with a number of different companies. Wild Frontiers is the best. First, because I have a lot of travel experience, I want to rave about the back office. Most travel firms have a back office that is a black hole of communication. Wild Frontiers is always in touch quickly and with a knowledgeable human being. No bots. No referrals to “frequently asked questions”. And once you are on a trip with Wild Frontiers you will find good local guides, very comfortable local hotels and restaurants and a very thoughtful itinerary. We’ve been to Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Algeria, Saudi Arabia and Montenegro with Wild Frontiers and every trip experience has been a good experience.

"Uzbekistan - overall a fantastically inspiring trip."

My recent trip to Uzbekistan was truly amazing. The beautiful inspiring architecture - Mosques, madrassas and minarets was a real experience. Some long drives and a flight to Urgench at the start of the holiday. As a vegetarian, I found the food somewhat underwhelming; several main meals were a mound of rice and chips. But great salads with delicious tomatoes, aubergine etc too, plus a few great soups. The group of 12 were all very friendly and we got on very well. Our guide Gul was very pleasant and friendly. Shame she didn't stick to the advertised 'free time' which was needed on such a full-on programme. Very little shopping time too - several 10 minute 'opportunities' to do this. One hotel at the start of the trip, gave us an inedible almost empty breakfast bag. Gul forgot to remind us to check we had our passports on the morning of departure; I stupidly had left mine at reception and we had to turn back after 10 mins heading to the airport.
She, Gul, 'lost' two of us at the Paper Mill. Luckily we quickly found her and the group, but this did somewhat spoil my experience there which was very hurried. She had moved a visit from the day before on to this particular morning meaning it felt rushed and pressurised.
However, the holiday was overall fantastic. On my return I took up some of the negative experiences with Kelly, at Wild Frontiers. She has proved to be truly brilliant, returning emails very quickly and dealing with this superbly well. She has more than made up for issues that caused a few problems on this holiday. I'm now very happy with the outcome and impressed by the excellent communications with both Jess and later, particularly - Kelly. This has reassured me that WF continues to be an outstanding, great brilliant company. I would recommend Uzbekistan - as well as my trip with friends last year to Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia.
I intend to book my third trip with them for next year, (having examined a few of the rival travel groups, which do not seem to compare). Thanks Kelly and Wild Frontiers!

"Jordan: Adventure with Purpose. Fabulous. Incredible. Exceptional. "

My trip to Jordan with WF was the most enriching, the most amazing, the most satisfying I have ever experienced. It was far beyond anything I have ever dreamed of what my trip to Jordan would be.

Every aspect of the itinerary was very well thought out, well organized and expertly executed throughout, from the preplanning process until the follow-up after the trip. It was a perfect blend of sight seeing, challenging hikes, and community involvement.

What I love most was the interactions and experience with the diverse facets of the local community. This deeply immersive experience made the trip much more meaningful and memorable.

This is my third trip but actually my first booking with Wild Frontiers. I have been recommending Wild Frontiers to friends and everyone I come across. And I have since booked several more tours with WF and I am looking into booking for more.

"Knowledge and experience leads to a great client experience."

I recently went with Wild Frontiers on a trekking trip to Pakistan. We have used Wild Frontiers for several trips over the last few years, including one to Pakistan in 2009. My expectations were high and Wild Frontiers delivered. There were some visa issues in the run up but Wild Frontiers were extremely supportive. During the trip our local guides were excellent. They exhibited a depth of knowledge that can only come from being a local plus they were extremely helpful and good fun!
I would not hesitate to recommend Wild Frontiers.

"Returning to Pakistan with Wild…"

Returning to Pakistan with Wild Frontiers including trekking across the Thalle La Pass. Pakistan will always hold a very dear place in our hearts. This trip was absolutely magical - immense landscape, the deepest blue sky and such depth of knowledge and service from Atta, Jaan and team. What struck me was the beautiful balance between trekking and the insight into village and community life. Pakistan always receives a few raised eyebrows when you say to people where you are going, but it will change your perspective for the better and I would absolutely trust Wild Frontiers to keep me safe and develop tourism to the benefit of the people and landscape.

"First time used great experience"

First time using Wild Frontiers, good service from outset and throughout. We had a number of questions about the trip before booking and they were all covered extensively by Jess who dealt with us. Our trip to Georgia was well planned and paced giving a great overview of the Country in respect of culture, heritage and food. For a developing country everything went smoothly and we would highly recommend and use again. Good quality guide and vehicles and we really felt that the company ensured money spent was going directly to the communities which is one of the main reasons for choosing them. Our visits to homes of local people for lunch was a highlight together with the day hikes in the mountain region.

"Visit Southern Albania before the crowds arrive"

I have travelled with Wild Frontiers many times, all the trips have been truly memorable and my recent trip to Southern Albania was on a par. Magnificent mountain scenery, great walking in peaceful unspoilt countryside, swimming in warm sea, excellent hotels, visits to interesting historic and cultural sites, and of course plenty of good and varied food! Tourism seems to be developing fast so now is probably a good time to go before the crowds arrive.

"Want to go somewhere new"

Want to go somewhere new? Set off for Albania. Glorious countryside, centuries of history leading up to the mysteries of the recent past. Link up with a very well informed guide in Alben.
It’s not expensive, it’s not miles and miles away. The sun should shine, the sea is warm and hotels are plentiful. Sign up and set off soon.
