Have used this company before and received goods when they used the APC courier. This time around, they used DPD local. For several days, my order was being held at the Hinckley depot (without explanation). After getting no response from the depot, and since they are a paying customer of DPD, I asked the Veg Box Co to chase this up with DPD. To their credit, somebody call Guy did respond and found out to according to DPD, my parcel had been "damaged" but it had been marked as being delivered.
He promise to replace the damaged order via email, as quoted:
"I am very sorry for this. It appears DPD don't have an answer for me either other then it been held. I am, waiting for my account manager to come back to me. I am going to arrange a new box to be delivered tomorrow for you. If this is not convenient please let me know,."

Although I'd arranged for a redelivery to take place for 8th April, I received no notification that anything had been dispatched and follow up emails from me were ignored. So I got shafted by both the courier AND the Veg Box Co.
So to anyone considering purchasing from this company, your order might turn up. If it doesn't, at best, expect to be given the run around, at worst, expect to be ghosted. The sad thing is, I wanted to support the farmers by shopping this way but now, I might as well go back to shopping at the supermarket. At least I'll get my fruit and vegetables in return for my money.

The fruit was good and arrived on time.
However, I wouldn't use this company if you are planning to claim on expenses via your business. They do not send invoices or receipts and do not respond to their website form, emails or voice messages.

Waited months for part of my order. Ignored all of my emails and finally responded to my Facebook message saying they’ve refunded me I’ll get it back in 5 days. 10 days later and nothing. I’m going to trading standards unless you get this sorted asap! Owe me £30 for undelivered meat!

We managed to contact you by phone last week and we were promised the order would be with us by Saturday 30th December but we still have not received it.

I have been using this company for a while and whilst there products are generally good, there service and customer service in awful.
I took out a subscription months ago for a veg box, a berry box a bread box and a cheese box.
I've had constant problems with receiving boxes and constantly have to chase up.
They don't keep you updated on your order.
They make constant excuses for not sending boxes out like waiting for bread as bread only sent out 2 days a week or waiting for another cheese delivery.
Instead of arranging early and sending out early they send very late and only after you chase them up.
They take money up to a month in advance for subscriptions which seem rediculous so they know about your order a Month in advance, so plenty of time to arrange the bread and cheese so no excuses really for not sending or sending late.
Just a very poorly run company.
If you have a problem with a order good luck getting a response, even if you do it's just excuse after excuse. There customer service is non existent.
In September I received a very damaged berry box, had to throw most away. I was promised that a replacement box would be sent out, then they made excuses like problems at there farm and berries not ripe.
Tried to be patient and understanding but they went silent. It's now end of November and have heard nothing from them in over a months and still haven't received replacement Berry box.
This month's boxes were due for delivery on Friday 22nd October, Thursday 21st they should have send out which is a bread day, but it's now 25th October and still not received this month's boxes and no communication from them.
I've emailed veg box company twice but so far no response.
When you actually manage to received your order there products are very good. But sadly can not recommend this company due to how poor the service and customer service is.
I would definitely avoid taking out a subscription for boxes with them at all costs, unless you don't mind payment being taken up to a month in advance then fighting to get Boxes.
I've just cancelled my subscription with them as have had enough and will be going else where.

"Item never arrived, not refunded, silence from customer service"
I ordered two items of which only one was received. Customer services replied to one of my initial messages saying they would send the second part of the order again because it had been sent to the wrong address. More than a month later, despite repeat messages to customer services, I have heard nothing from them. I asked them to refund the missing item and have still heard nothing. Tried to call but no one picked up.
