I bought the charger mostly because of its internals - it works without internet/cloud connectivity (tested), does not require an account with an online service to use (tested), has OCPP support (tested*) and other nice features. It looks really nice and tidy, too - there is no cable mess (especially on the untethered version when the electricity+data cables come in from the back) or big, plastic, cheap-looking box.
The fact that the charger works offline and without signing up to a service means that you can use it privately if you want, and it should not be turned into a useless paperweight even if support for it was suddenly withdrawn. These risks are worth considering when purchasing "smart" devices, especially for permanently installed ones that are expected to have a long service life.
When it really mattered (during installation) the support was quick and effective in sending out a replacement for a defective part. Before purchasing I was able to get technical questions answered by knowledgeable people as well. For the latter the response times did vary quite a bit, but after reflecting on the whole experience I've come to the conclusion that I'm happy to trade longer response time for better support quality. I also accept the need to prioritise. I appreciate not having to wade through endless forms or phone menus only to get speedy canned (useless) answers constrained by a flowchart or worse, end up in a dead end.
* I ran into one compatibility issue here, but I could work around it. Researching the issue online led me to discover that the issue had already been reported to S&P by someone else a few weeks ago and (update:) the issue has been fixed by a firmware update.
Overall, when I walk past or use the charger I am reminded that it's a great product with real people behind it who are doing a great job.

Great product, easy installation and just works. Looks really good on the wall which seems to be a secondary consideration for most EV chargers.

Well packaged and looks like a premium product when installed. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the slight confusion over delivery date. Otherwise I would highly recommend.

"Bespoke Designer EV Charger"
Bespoke, Elegant, Premium and Unique. All valid descriptors for the stunningly beautiful, compact, fully customisable, hand built in Britain range of EV chargers offered by Simpson and Partners. From start to finish the team have been amazing. Very communicative, helpful and not only did they deliver on style but on service as well.
First off, this is by far the best looking EV charger on the market, and now in our neighborhood. Our installer even commented that it was the easiest he's ever set up. He was surprised by the high quality components used from the custom PCB to quality CT clamp, everything is well considered and thought through. Even more surprised were we by the ease of set up, there's no account to create, no server to connect with, it's entirely controlled offline via Bluetooth. How rare it is to find a product that you can just purchase, own and actually use without needing to set up subscription or account to make it work. Just another area where the Simpson and Partners charger feels much more premium than the competition.
We've had so many wonderful comments from our neighbours since it's installation enquiring where we got it, not bad for something that's just a charger.
If you value British made, bespoke, high quality luxury fittings for your home then I highly recommend you take a look at the Simpson and Partners range of EV chargers. Nothing else comes close to delivering this level of design and customisation in one beautifully compact premium EV charger that would look right wether outside a country cottage, stately house or ultra modern eco home.

The install process was slightly frustrating as you aren’t provided with a torx bit to open the charger plus it doesn’t appear to be specified what size it is in the instructions. This meant I had to go out and buy a torx set a costing me more money but also costing me time (doubled the time of the total install) the rest of the process was straightforward. 4 stars
From reading reviews I had the same problem with the order process, lack of communication. I ordered and got a confirmation email but if I hadn’t emailed I don’t think I would have found out delivery details. You almost need like the dominoes pizza tracker or a couple more emails: 1. thanks for your order as it’s hand crafted it takes some time to make
2. Your charger is now being built
3. The painting process has started, this takes several days to dry etc
4. Great news your charger is going through quality control
5. Here is your delivery tracking number
I think if there was slightly more communication, even if automated emails, then it would help with the 10 working day wait as we wouldn’t be in the dark and we’re so used to next day delivery from other companies this feels like a long time to wait with lack of communication.
Overall though I am extremely happy with my charger, it looks and works great and think it’s brilliant they are UK based.

Havent received the product yet so can't comment on that, but having placed the order there is no further communication, on when delivery is expected. If you don't reach out to them you will have no idea.
I was promised delivery within the 10 days but am now on day 11 and not received. I emailed yesterday and they told me would be delayed. But again i had to email them, nothing proactive.
Don't they realise we have to arrange electricians and to be at home when these things are being installed.
Of course like many companies now, god forbid they should have a phone number for you to call them on.... not a number anywhere on their site. That would be too convenient for customers....

"Superb customer service"
Superb customer service. I had a great chat with your colleague, Tom Ireland - he was very knowledgeable and only too pleased to help with all my questions, as well as recommendations for local fitters too.
Sadly I've not received the order yet (8 days) but, Tom warned me you had received a lot of orders so, it would likely be more like 10 days before receipt. That's fine. Happy to wait.
I have received this "review me" link before the order has been completed though so, may be worth adjusting the timing on this or, checking the order has been received before asking to be reviewed. I'm really happy so far though.
