Great hybrid e-bike for long and short trips. Like step through frame, 26in wheel, mudguards, rack and kickstand. Would have liked suspension and chainguard.

I’ve recently bought two bikes one for me and one for my partner. We both love these bikes as I got two 14 amp hour batteries fitted from new. And are able to use them for longer distances and now that we are able to get back home again on the battery power rather than peddling . Idle bikes for us both as we do do some of road ridding to but not to serious. Thank you to cycle king in Stony Stratford. Milton Keynes. Both the guys were very helpful in helping us get the right balance of equipment we wanted. Would highly recommend them to anyone. Thanks again.

"Just bought 3rd Ampare Hi-Lux"

Just bought our 3rd Ampare Hi-Lux from Winstanley’s. They’ve been great bikes👍. We need a very reliable bike for commuting to remote locations for work and living in Devon the bike needs to handle the steep hills. The Hi-lux have been perfect and very reliable- A bonus that they’re made here.
My husband has had his for 2 years, uses it daily all year round for commuting and often carries items on his pannier between work sites. He unfortunately hit a deep pot hole in the first days of getting his 1st bike, snapping some spokes and denting the rim but we had the spokes replaced, got a spare rim just in case and had no issues since.
When we contacted Ampare, Tom has been amazing, even with my obscure questions - he went out of his way to help and support and on one occasion met me to drop off a part we needed urgently. For us, service has been excellent and above & beyond.
Easy set up from new and glad that there has been an upgrade to Shimano brakes. The site makes it easier to get hold of any replacement bits and specs.

After lots of research I decided to get an Ampere Hilux with 14a battery. Only done 20 miles so far and I'm enloying it immensely. Bike is well made and supplied documentation is excellent. Recently bought my first e-bike, the Ampere Hilux with 14AH battery. Have only done short rides so far, so cannot comment on range. However, apart from being a beautifully designed and sturdy machine, it is simple to learn to use and an absolute pleasure to ride. Although slim (you might mistake it for a conventional bike) it has all the power you need to take you effortlessly uphill at a good speed.
Cannot recommend highly enough the guys at Leisure Life South West- so friendly, patient and informative, with no hard sell and only wanting to send us away happy. They succeeded!
