"First-class Experience with AmeriGlide"
AmeriGlide Stairlifts were recommended to us by a family member who is involved in medical equipment marketing and sales, and had used AmeriGlide previously. The process of working with AmeriGlide was very straightforward. The company kept us informed as it was going through the design process and building a curved stairlift to meet our needs. We were notified when the product shipped and the estimated time when we would receive the shipment. One day after the product components arrived on a pallet at our home, the AmeriGlide installer arrived to work on installing the equipment. His install experience and attention to detail were significant in the very clean look overall of the installation. Also, he went through operating the lift so that my wife was comfortable using it from the start. We are super satisfied with AmeriGlide, and anyone looking to add a stairlift to their home should talk with AmeriGlide.

I had a fantastic experience at AmeriGlide! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the Rave 2 stair lift is excellent. The customer service was exceptional, as they kept me updated throughout the entire process. I had a question about the product, and their support team responded promptly and professionally

"Incompetent. Unreliable. Liers."
I ordered a Hymar AL 400 Lift, for my mobility scooter.. They delivered a hymar AL 100. They did not include.
All the needed equipmand and they are lift Was too low to the ground and would hit the ground while Driving. They knew there was a question about the model number. I was ordering, but instead of just calling me to get it clarified They decided they could figure it out on their own and figure it out wrong. They did not include a swing gate which I ordered. Once installed, it did not work and would not lift my mobility scooter off the ground. When I tried to call Salman Sazid He stopped taking my calls. And I could not reach him until I called him from a different telephone number. He then proceeded to lie to me about the order And whether or not high more made a swing gate for their mobility lifts. The unit was picked up the next day by the installer, A nice man named Cliff Bramlett, Who are recommends highly.
I filed a dispute with my bank after Salmon refused to issue a credit despite the unit being the wrong model with the wrong attachments, which did not work and which would have hit the ground.
Don't waste your time. Your breath or your money dealing with this idiot.

"Incompetence, Safety Risks, and Unresolved Issues"
Incompetence, Safety Risks, and Unresolved Issues
I wish we had never chosen Ameriglide for my parents' stairlift installation. What should have been a straightforward process turned into a nightmare filled with incompetence, poor service, lack of communication, and a serious safety concern. Issues have persisted for many months despite repeated attempts to resolve them. Please read the summary below of the main issues we faced:
1. Ordering & Installation Issues
On September 10, 2024, we consulted with Ameriglide on a custom curved stairlift for my parents. We were promised a thorough assessment to first confirm proper fit, followed by precise measurements, and professional installation. After paying nearly $11,000, things quickly went quickly downhill. On November 5, an inexperienced installer was sent and failed to meet the agreed-upon installation plan. Despite multiple requests for a more qualified installer, Ameriglide sent the same installer again on November 12, who still couldn’t fix the issues. However, he was very gracious and apologized for being unable to complete the install.
2. Communication Failures
On November 12, after speaking with the VP of Sales, he promised a quick resolution. Despite multiple follow-up attempts, we received no response, leaving us no choice but to seek assistance elsewhere after weeks of waiting.
3. Damages & Safety Concerns
When a qualified installer was finally sent on December 18, he was very helpful and confirmed that the original installation was not only incorrect, but the original installer had caused unnecessary damage to our stairway carpet. Also, he immediately identified a critical safety issue: head clearance. An overhead beam obstructed the stairlift’s path, making it unusable and dangerous. This major risk should have been flagged during the initial assessment, as it posed a serious hazard that could have resulted in injury to my elderly parents.
4. Refund & Compensation Issues
Ameriglide, despite being fully at fault, initially refused a refund. They then said they were "reviewing with the manufacturer to find a workable solution” which continued the delay. After escalating the issue with our credit card company, they agreed to remove the stairlift and promised a refund on January 16, but delays continued for several weeks.
Ultimately, on February 17, they offered a partial refund but insisted on keeping a non-refundable $2,500 CAD design fee. This fee was for a design based on an incorrect initial assessment – one that should never have moved to the CAD design stage in the first place. Yet they have refused to take responsibility for their mistakes.
Our request for compensation for an estimated $480 in carpet damages caused by the initial inexperienced installer remains unaddressed. Despite initially promising to review this request, Ameriglide has ignored all subsequent inquiries about it.
Conclusion: A Warning to Families Dealing with Mobility Issues
From the initial consultation in September, to the partial refund offer in February, this ordeal has spanned five months. During this time, my parents have experienced constant delays, poor communication, and significant stress. Ameriglide left my parents not only without a stairlift but also facing financial loss and damages to their home. If you value safety, reliability, and fair treatment, I urge you to avoid Ameriglide. Anyone considering a stairlift should carefully research other companies and read customer reviews. I hope this review will help others avoid the same frustrating, stressful, and ultimately unfair experience with Ameriglide.

"Ameriglide product"
Ameriglide product, warranty and service should all receive 0 stars. I had them install it (by an unpleasant person) in November and by January it stopped working. It was making a loud beeping noise, which they said was the battery, which I still haven't received from them. I hired another licensed technician to look at it and he said it was installed incorrectly, has numerous issues and was a fire risk due to faulty wiring. Now I'm at more risk from falling as it blocks a handrail I need (I had a stroke) and my house is at risk of burning.

"Purchasing experience was great, but..."
Taylor was very helpful during the order/shipping process.
However, we had issues with the installer; he struggled with removal & new lift installation; even put the chair base on the rail/track backwards.

"This is the WORST company"
This is the WORST company. I bought their stairlift with installation and it never worked. When I tried to get help under warranty I was told to find my own parts and hire someone to fix it. I now have a complaint pending with the North Carolina department of justice for breaking their contract.

"Huge letdown in service….."
Elevator installed in May and hasn’t worked but half the time since. Service guy was supposed to order a part 3 weeks ago and we still haven’t seen him. We haven’t been able to get the service man to return our calls or anyone else in the company.

"BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!"
I purchased a Rave 2 stairlift from them, new. But the day after it was installed it started to beep a hundred times a minute. And then it stopped moving all together 2 weeks after being installed. And Ameriglide never resolved this issue. And the technicians we got to come out and service it couldn't get it working. I spent over 3000.00 for a brand new piece of CRAP. And Ameriglide just gives us the run around, or they hang up on us. Or they say they will get back with me and never do. Take my advice and save your money.
