"Nightmare Before Christmas…"

My experience with LMS was a Christmas nightmare, one that I will remember for a long time and warn others of.

I was asked to bring my car in by one of your engineers for inspection, after assessing the works we agreed that the car should come in on *Monday, 16-Dec*. I had hoped it would only be a couple of days but the engineer wasn’t confident, but he didn’t disagree that the car would be ready on *Friday, 20-Dec*.

On Thursday I get a message saying, “maybe” Friday, on Friday I get a message saying, “maybe” Saturday, or NEXT WEEK. At this point I lost my patience, I decided to visit the garage, (£50) round trip, to see what was going on. The engineer I saw showed me my car, apologised profusely for the delays, adding that he was “embarrassed”, I accepted his apology and the new date of *Monday* at *5pm*.

On Monday, I got the call to collect at *6pm*, due to heavy traffic in a cab I didn’t arrive until 6:30. When I arrived the gates were shut and there seemed to be nobody there; I was enraged.

I banged furiously on the gate for 10 mins before someone turned up from the inside to tell me that his boss wasn’t there but he would call him over.

While I waited in the cold a young man I hadn’t seen before turned up in a black Range Rover. He was abrupt and inattentive, and I didn’t hesitate to let him know I was furious.

He decided to react negatively, deciding that I had no right to be angry with how I had been treated. He subsequently began making threats. The first one was that I wouldn’t get my car, then he followed up with his decision to withhold the agreed discount to compensate me for the cab fares.

Eventually I got the police involved, but unfortunately they weren’t much help to me, but I have an incident number, for records. I asked the young man to at least carry out a hand over, to show me the works that had been done but he flatly refused. I eventually conceded defeat painfully, I paid the full fee, £560 got my car and left.

My experience with LMS has been the single worst experience with a garage I’ve ever had in all my life and I will tell everyone that will listen about your shocking unprofessionalism.

"Quick and low-cost but good quality."

They fixed a body damage for a cost less than 1/3 of those by a few other garages I get a quote from. This was possible because they had an established route to find second hand prats very quickly even for my left-handed car from Europe. I think they are very professional for car maintenance and repair, being capable of handling unusual cases. Their phone and online communication is also very timely and quick.
Their initial online quote was not very accurate and onsite insepction was really necessary. But I am very much satisfied with their work overall.

"Don’t go for tyre change. "

Told me they didn’t have the tyres I ordered so charged me more for ones they did have, get there the next morning and turns out they didn’t have those either. An hours drive at 8am for nothing. Get told to come back at 12, come back and told it’ll only be a 30-45 min job. 2 hours later car is finally ready. Unorganised, time wasting, many other places that’ll do it better, quicker and nicer.

EDIT: they then tried to get my review taken down as defamatory content, which Trustpilot saw through and ignored. Deffo avoid now.

I buy a Mercedes E class and bring it to them to do a full inspection...After 20 min come with a report that 1 arm and all break disc and all break pads need to change urgently.I took the car to another garage (to change tires )and surprisingly ...disc life was like 70% same as the break pads 70%.Even the suspension arm had just a tiny slight play....Other than that what can I say ..I contact them on WHOCANFIXMYCAR...and online got a quote of 75£ ..they contact me thru WhatsApp with 50£ and there i was charged 80£.....Y pay 80 for telling me lies...other than that very good company...

They repaired a massive panel scratch that had reached to the metal work and done a meticulous job of repairing it for a reasonable price, very recommended

I went there to change my tyre he told me I need to change one seal few rods and at end bill from 80 become 1000+ ... Never again

I booked the car for body work repairs after my wife had an argument with a car park (the car park had won)
I was not particularly happy by LMS' attempt to bully me into doing work I hadn't requested.
The work they did was good.
I was disappointed that they didn't do all the work I had requested.
I was surprised to find after I dropped the car off that they don't take card payments - cash or bank transfer only.
Does one trust a company that doesn't take cards nowadays?

Agreed date and time for a part replacement. They asked me to come in as part as arrived (2h round trip for me) then told me the part was not available whilst I was here. In the meantime they had also increased the price quoting supplier changing the cost. This had happened before with a bodywork repair (they did a good job on the repair itself but they raised the quote after I had given the car and after they had done the job). Strongly do not recommend.
