"Scummy company"

Scummy company, charge you £17 without your consent when on a supposedly 'free' account.

Just another one of many leeches in the music industry trying to make money out of people rather than genuinely provide a decent service. Wouldn't p.i ss on them if they were on fire


Edit: Just to let you know, I had an email from Trustpilot saying 'Music Gateway have asked for more information to better understand your experience'

They know exactly what my experience has been and they know exactly why so many people are annoyed. The REAL reason they are asking for this extra information is that if you do not provide it they can potentially take your review down.

as per the emails I've had from trustpilot:

"f we don’t hear from you, the company may not be able to recognize your review as genuine."

"Just a reminder that you have 2 days left to provide more information or your review may be taken offline."


So make sure you provide something even if it's you entering your email and putting 'N/A' in the box. They're trying to hide the fact they're such a SCAM company.

I had an account issue with a payment and Sophie Small from Customer Service was super helpful and quick to resolve the situation. Emails were quick and efficient and she was nice and friendly.

Whenever I had any questions, they were there to support, and I feel my music is safe with MG.

They offer a lot of different services on the side as well, which can massively help your release if you wanted to go that route!

Jon Skinner made a very big mistake, he thought he could scam someone like me, Just got off the phone with my lawyer (He’s jewish), he said by law if they dont issue a full refund within 14 days no matter what their terms & conditions says, and doesn’t even matter if i agreed to their terms or not, i can still press charges, They will have to issue a FULL refund to literally EVERYONE else that also felt like they got scammed, PLUS settlement fees and much more, im going to turn that cheap 17£ scam into +£10k, Jon (Sinner) will hear from my lawyer in a few days

Music Gateway sent out an email to all users two weeks ago stating that the free plan was being discontinued, and all users would be automatically upgraded to a paid plan in two weeks unless they delete their account. The email landed in my spam folder, as it did for most other users and people (such as myself) who signed up for an account a while ago and haven't used the website since.

I woke up this morning to an unusual charge on my credit card, and slowly pieced together what had happened. Music Gateway had upgraded me to the paid plan and started a monthly subscription charge of $20. This is not behavior that I would expect from a legitimate business. Do not work with Music Gateway. Taking advantage of users in this way is unforgivable. The correct behavior would be to disable all free user accounts unless users choose to pay. Charging $20 to every user's credit card without consent is theft.

services aren't even that good and i just got charged money for a pro subscription without my permission that ill never even use. making customers delete their account or pay is a stupid move. never recommending music gateway to ANYONE

"You can’t cancel subscription!!! Stay away!!! "

They have used my free trial account to charge my debit card 20$ - this is a scam as they do not promote any music first of all. No services has been provided. They charge without a reason. You cannot cancel subscription on their site from account level. You cannot ask for support as support email is a „no-reply” email. You cannot contact them by phone as these numbers are fake or just a recordings, no one will answer to you. Still they charge you for nothing. They steal my money, but fortunately they choose the wrong person as I have plenty of time and will spend it to tell the world about their illegal practices.
