"Frustrating "

We bought a Discovery sport and on collection the vehicle was not clean . Also the battery warning light was on we were told the car just needed a run so we decided to take it however
After a 3 hour drive the battery light was on
I contacted there customer service line to get the car booked in under warranty they asked me to bring it back to them
This I was not prepared to do as I was told warranty was national cover . This was not true according to CC . After a battery test at my local garage it was clear the battery was not holding the charge I decided to buy a new battery this resolved the issue my concern is if they carried out a 114 check this should have been picked up and been fixed so was 114 check done ? Also the service light is on was it serviced ? So if you’re buying a car double check everything before you leave .Also clarify the warrant especially if your travelling distance
They did pay for the battery eventually.
