I was looking for a tile shop that had competitive prices and good range of terracotto tiles, It's not a massive selection, however much better than other tile stores online. They had the lovely Spanish cotto tiles that I wanted, and I'm happy with what I paid. The employees were friendly and helpful both by email and phone.

Over the past 3 years my wife and I have renovated our home with the help of Baked Earth in Harrogate . They helped us to choose tiles for 3 bathrooms, the sitting room, dining room and kitchen/orangery. With such a big project in mind, we searched high and low for tile providers such as Ca Pietree and others - no one came close to Baked Earth, quality and sheer patient helpfulness. Their website has the most extensive and effective listing of terracotta tiles that we have seen anywhere - so important when trying to visualise how tiles will appear in your own home. Our home now has 3 stunning bathrooms and with underfloor heating on all floors, Baked Earth ensured that we retained the traditional appearance of our ground floor living rooms by supplying exceptionally rustic clay tiles. "Really disappointed with the customer…"

Really disappointed with the customer service of this company. The tiles I ordered look great and I am really happy with them. However, the size varied in length by around 15% making many of the tiles unusable for parquet flooring. Many were also broken or crumbly. I would expect a certain amount of this and many of the tiles were used as offcuts but this still left a significant number that could not be used. With most companies it is simple to return any tiles that are broken. However, baked earth will only accept returns if you pay for the return and will also deduct their delivery cost from any refund. This makes it almost pointless to return them. I really don’t understand why I am liable to return tiles that were delivered to me in a broken state. Such a shame as the tiles look amazing but the customer service has put me off using these again.

Update in response to reply:
To confirm I did not ask them to collect surplus tiles just broken ones. Because of the issues with so many of the tiles being unusable we opted to tile a smaller area rather than waiting for replacement tiles. I asked for these to be collected and refunded to which I was told they would not collect them.

Adam has been great. So helpful. He went out of his way to send the small sample terracotta tiles to Ireland. We went for the Saint Martin pale square terracotta tiles 25x25cm which look great. Shame they don’t have a showroom near us but will definitely recommend Baked Earth.

A huge thankyou to all concerned with my order. We have been looking for months to find 30x30cm pale terracotta tiles and ordered a sample from Baked Earth. The sample unfortunately was broken in transit by DPD but this is no fault of Baked Earth as the parcel was packed very carefully and taped fragile.

We placed our main order which arrived very quickly and well packaged. And the terracotta tiles were great quality.
