"System couldn’t verify current account"

Applied online for savings account but their system could not verify my current account which I’ve had for over 40 years with a building society (l would not wish to commit current account statement requested in the post) in this supposedly age of electronic communication!! —

"UPDATED: Been trying to setup a joint account…Now resolved"

Been trying to setup a joint account and all requested information shared, and now over 3 weeks and still nothing. Communication is poor and having worked in finance for years their turnaround is extremely slow compared to competitors.

UPDATE from first week April 2025
Vida customer services were in touch and very apologetic about the issues experienced and promptly then got the account operational. Modified this review to give them credit for dealing with things after the complaint and now everything is working as intended.

Two telephone calls made. One for due diligence, second one on another day for funds receipt query.
Contact phone number easy to find on Website. Both calls answered quickly and calls handled in courteous and friendly way.

"I sent funds by Faster Payments that…"

I sent funds by Faster Payments that inadvertantly took my balance above the £85,000 limit by £1.
They rejected the payment and informed me the funds would be back in my account within 3 business days. Today's Thursday so in effect 5 days.
That's 5 days loss of interest on my money.

You've actually accepted the money. If it had been 'rejected' the funds would be back in my account immediately.

Sharp practice.
I do not recommend them.

"Don’t bank or save with Vida !"

The only means of contact is by their secured messaging system. They ignored my first message and only resonded to second message after 10 days. Very unsympathetic to help requested. Bank with Aldemore - they were responsive, helpful and agreed to my request when all Vida said was “No”. Don’t bank or save with them.
