I was a little dubious sending off my iPad (to get a replacement screen) to a company I hadn’t heard of before. However I needn’t have worried. You are able to track its progress and when I received the item, it was like new. Highly recommend and I will definitely use this company again.

Got quoted a price, Royal Mail picked it up on the Thursday, was delivered Saturday around midday and by Saturday afternoon I had received the funds I was quoted originally! The price offered was very good compared to most other places and I'm 100% going back to Fixmybrokenscreen in future!

"Avoid at all costs"

I recently sent my MacBook in for a screen replacement via mail in service, and unfortunately, the whole experience was really disappointing. When I got my Mac back, I noticed the “new” screen had visible chips and scratches. I reached out to the company, and they told me the marks were expected since they use original Apple screens, not third-party ones. I get that they use original parts, but nowhere on their website did it say to expect a screen with chips and scratches on like that. If that is the case would you not put that as a disclaimer on the website?

When they had received it they told me that my Mac had been damaged by Royal Mail during transit, and that they’d need to fix an additional part (the hinge) for another £30. I trusted their advice and went along with it. But when I spoke to Apple directly, they told me the screen is one piece, and the housing/hinge isn't a separate part and it would already be attached to a new screen. When I asked the repair company about this, they just got evasive and suggested they could put the old screen back on if I wasn’t happy. That felt really shady, especially since they didn’t explain what was actually done to the Mac. I had even watched several YouTube videos of the exact mac repair and the hinge wasn't a separate part, the whole new screen came as one unit. I wasn't even telling them how to do their job, however everything they told me contradicted how the repair is actually done which was confirmed by Apple themselves and the videos i watched. Note: they didn't deny any of this when confronted, they just said they would "put the old screen back if i'm unhappy".

I also asked them for photos of the parts they used, but they completely ignored my request, I was told if i want to see the parts to come into their store in London, as i had sent in the repair via mail that would make it obvious i don't live near the store, but i guess they couldn't figure that out. When I politely again requested the photos of the parts they used for full transparency they again ignored my request.

They said they called three times which i told them i was at work and can they correspond over text. Since then, whenever I followed up, my messages were just left on read and haven't heard from them since.

I’ve used them before for an Apple Watch repair and had a great experience, so I was really surprised by how poorly this situation was handled. The fact they ghost their customers is laughable.

I had hoped to resolve this without leaving a review and have gave them opportunity to respond to my texts but clearly they don't care, i even suggested a simple resolution would be to replace the screen with one with no chips or scratches but they ignored this. Have reported to trading standards.
