Paving tiles did not match the pictures on their website and they refused return / refund within 14 days of delivery.

My contractor ordered the tiles on my behalf as I was abroad. I told him what type of tiles and colour I wanted and he found a product on this website that, from the pictures, matched the requirements and I agreed for him to purchase them so that he could start the work.

I liked the tiles and the colour as they appeared on the website and was very happy about purchasing products from a small family-run business.

However the tiles that were delivered did not match the colour at all. We ordered a light sandstone like colour and what I got was a stained strong yellow tiles. Not even close! I wish I could post pictures on here.

Both me and my contractor contacted them about the issue, inside the 14 day return period, and they basically told us that they wouldn't take the tiles back, even if their website is blatantly misrepresenting the product.

I have now sent them a notice to collect the slabs and issue a refund or I will report them to the Trading Standards and will initiate legal proceedings in order to get the refund and seek damages.

Had they been apologetic and tried to sort the issue, I would have considered exchanging the product for something else, as maybe it was a mistake, but given their unwillingness to help and a standard response saying "no we won't take it back" - even if it was within my rights to cancel the order inside the 14 day period - I have now bought tiles from somewhere else and they have already been installed and I will never buy again from this website / company.
