Can't be used to backup data REALLY?

Bought a deal with 1TB cold and 1TB hot storage.
Hot storage can be only accessed via web and as their customer service said: "The desktop app can't be used to backup data".

So I'm stuck with Cold storage which is extremely slow to use.
Refunding - I think that will be a problem, can smell it already.

Zoolz.
Never again.
