"Beware of unprofessional business practice"

I ordered a pair of badminton shoes and for my normal size 9 UK. I norticed on some brands of shoes (Yonex for example) they clearly recommend ordering a size bigger as they produce them smaller than regular sizing. However for the brand of shoes I ordered there was no notice so I ordered my regular size. When I received the shoes they fitted smaller than a regular size 9. I phoned customer services and explained the situation and that I wishes to return them for one size larger. They said I had to pay the almost £6 return postage. I explained that it was not made clear that they would fit smaller and so i dont expect to pay postage to return as the shoes are not described to fit smaller and so were not fit for purpose. They continued to refuse this so I said I will return them anyway and ask my car company to charge back the return cost. They then accepted to refund the postage but said that to keep the transactions straightforward I should order the bigger size as a separate order. I received the refund and then placed the new order as agreed and received the order confirmation email. I then received another email the next day saying they were refusing to take any orders from me because of the previous issue. I think this is a thoroughly unprofessional business practice. Especially when they asked me to place a separate order for a replacement. They don't need my business and I and customers have lots of other choices. I ordered a new pair from Badminton Direct instead and at a better price. I and my club members wont buy from Badminton HQ anymore.
