"Don’t buy Virgin service through them"

I had to go through them for a tenancy that worked fun but I decided to use them to get a Virgin broadband line as well. I spent 15 mins with them hoping they would sort it all out but they couldn’t
I had to spend anothe 15 with Virgin redoing it all anyway afterwards only with another added 30 minutes line holding to get connected.
They couldn’t pass all appropriate information and the application got stuck betwe en their system and Virgin and I had to sort it all out
Best to go direct is my advice rather than them

I am an employer of someone trying to get a tenancy.
They seem to think that a business is only genuine if it has a website.

A bunch of box tickers. I wouldn't trust their advice on anything. Let alone whether a tenant was reliable. Presumably they will disappear when extortionate tenancy fees disappear and they have to justify themselves

"Total nightmare experience"

Total nightmare experience. I'm trying to rent a flat and 4 days away from move in date I don't have a draft tenancy agreement because of excessive personal information being requested on myself and the guarantor that I actually don't need. When I filled out the form I included my salary as requested, rent4sure stated my salary as a gross profit when it was net profit, because of that even though I have repeatedly pointed out this a mistake made by rent4sure, rent4sure now say I need a guarantor. I found a guarantor to speed up the process, I don't want to lose my holding fee, but she has been put through a ridiculous and unnecessary amount of invasion that is absolutely not necessary. Total con. Just to add, rent4sure have just responded to me, haven't directly addressed the actual issue and I needed a response 3 weeks ago. Convenient. I noticed that the bad reviews, and the are a lot, all address the same issues, perhaps rent4sure needs to look at their practice rather than generic meaningless replies to complaints that dismiss common complaints.

The customer support service is great and we always receive a quick response to enable us to complete the referencing process in good time. We recommend Rent4sure to other agents and landlords alike.

From the perspective of a tenant, they weren't great.

Quite apart from the incessant emails all claiming to be 'urgent', they seemed completely incapable of reading the information I initially provided. For instance, they kept insisting in emails that they'd left a voicemail. I informed them on several occasions that they hadn't, confirming my phone number at least twice. It then transpired that they'd had it one digit off the whole time.

On a similar note, I shared details of my current and previous landlord in the initial form. Within weeks, they'd contacted to ask if I'd rented before my current property, and were requesting details of my previous landlord that I'd already provided.

The constant emails were incredibly irritating, and the total inability to locate basic information on a form was almost impressive. The only reason this review isn't one star is because they did in the end reach a conclusion.

It's really a shame that tenants have very little control over who performs their reference checks, because landlords and agencies inexplicably seem to love these guys.

At Lettingzone we have used Rent4sure for a number of years. The website is easy to navigate, the helpful staff are always quick to answer the phone if we have any queries and we can save valuable time by using tenant complete.

"From a potential tenant perspective...incompetent"

From a potential tenant perspective, Rent4sure like to give the impression of being somehow good at what they do, when in fact all they've done is built a system that takes the data you input and spit out a series of emails. Every email from Rent4sure is headed "URGENT....." even though they're not and somewhat sums up their feeling of self-importance.

They seem unable to interpret the income of a company director through dividends and equate it to that of a regular PAYE employee when assessing income levels (it's not rocket science) and should you be unfortunate enough to have one of their employees deal with your application prepare for levels of incompetence to make you cry. For example:
Rent4sure: "We need proof of your savings..."
Me: "You mean as in the 6 months of my bank statements that you already have?"
Rent4sure: {Long Pause} "Oh yeah....Bye".

All in all, a useless organisation that asks for lots of information which it then fails to either interpret or read.

I can honestly say that Rent4Sure are the best referencing company around. We have tried several other companies but non are as thorough and efficient as these guys. We would highly recommend any other agents to use them.
