"Absolutely abysmal service"
Absolutely abysmal service. Have been trying to get my tenancy deposit returned since early October. Been sent round the houses, calling offices in Newport and Newcastle with no joy. No answer from the Lettings dept so have to call Sales. Both advisor and office manager not prepared to listen to my concerns, instead resort to talking over me and then have the audacity to call me abusive. Requested complaints info, have called but no answer. This is MY money they are holding on to. I can't get it back

"Avoid at all costs"
Selling a house is always stressful, but the shockingly bad service we got from the Frome branch made it so much worse. Agent talked a good talk initially, then as soon as we signed up would ignore calls and emails for days on end, as would others in branch. I don't expect people to get back back to me straight away, but I would like to hear from them before a week! All they're interested in is getting you to sign up. Messed up our EPC payment & got the dimensions & description of our house wrong. Only a handful of viewings over several months. Ignored us for a fortnight when we asked for a price reduction. Only removed us from their listings & returned our key long after our contract was up because we had to lodge an official complaint. I have never experienced such terrible service from estate agents before. Absolute time wasters. Would give them no stars if I could. Don't go through what we did, avoid at all costs.

I recently sold my flat with Allen and Harris in Helensburgh. I cannot fault the service I received from start to finish. From the photographers to the Home Report, to the viewings and offers, I was kept fully informed every step of the way and could call for advice at any time. Patricia Dean who was handling the sale went above and beyond to provide me with excellent, friendly, efficient service,
always with a cheerful, helpful attitude. If she wasn't there one of the other team members was happy to help. Even the after care is second to none and I cannot recommend Allen and Harris Helensburgh highly enough.

"Terrible Service"
When it comes to honoring commitments and customer service, Allen and Harris is the worst company to deal with. I've paid for my lease agreement but for the past 4days, it hasn't been treated. I've called more than 20times but no one is picking up. Seems they close by 12noon everyday now. Terrible Terrible bunch. Wouldn't recommend them.

Allen and Harris Abingdon were the agents for our onward purchase. Firstly Katherine and then Gemma were really good at keeping us informed what was happening. Much better than the agents who were selling our property. On what was a very long ongoing sale and purchase through no fault of Allen and Harris Gemma worked hard at trying to keep the chain active and to find solutions to push things on. She was always a pleasure to chat to and at the times things were not going well for us a positive voice to talk to. Thank you Gemma and Katherine

"7 months"
7 months. 7 months we have been in a chain with a property being marketed by Allen and Harris. Twice they have failed to complete due diligence on buyers. Twice their in-house mortgage broker has lied about mortgage offers for buyers when underwriters have turned them down. I wish I had known that their business practices were so appalling I would have rejected an offer on the basis that they were representatives of someone in the chain.
