December 2024 and just back from 3 week trip to uk, difficult weather etc etc. Freely app highlight was the ability to select, at the last minute, for days when car rental accident excess needed to be covered, was easy and saved quite a bit ie avoided paying for all the days the car wasnt being used. The app is very easy and clear to use.

My husband got a
"Community acquired pneumonia" which anyone could get, in Bali, but typical insurance,got out of paying hospital bills by saying his autoimmune illness, (which has been managed for over 12 years) was the cause!! Insurance companies go under the umbrella of dishonest humans, like car salesman & politicians. Let Karma prevail !! We are only pensioners & had to borrow the money for holiday bills.

"We had to cancel because of nasty accident "
We did not go, had to cancel as our carer that was driving us to Melbourne and travelling with us was hit by a car the day before leaving and was hospitalised and needing surgery…I am 79 and my friend is 85….have been in touch with Freely and we were informed that we are not entitled to a refund…not happy, thought we found a good insurance company but very wrong…..the carer that was hospitalised was the daughter of the friend that was travelling with me, disappointing and very upsetting

We recently travelled to Vietnam & Cambodia and covered the holiday through Freely. The premium was very good and the insurance easy to arrange. We also used the Boost cover for one day to cover us while on a motor scooter foodie tour in Saigon. The cost of that boost was amazingly cheap. We were very happy finding the Freely app based insurance as we were able to get clarification on certain covers (such as the Motorcycle boost) via their chat which gave us confidence when travelling. The crew at Freely were very good. So much so we’ve insured our next holiday through them.
