I have been with Healthy Pets for nearly 12 years, aside from the current claim, I have only made one minor claim 5 years ago.
I had to have some major surgery for my dog costing £1500. I put this on a credit card thinking the claim would be finalised before interest kicked in.
The claim took around 2 months to be paid and then it was not correct. I was charged 3 x £125 of excess. When I queried it I was told there was an error and I would be given a refund of £125 for one of the extra excesses. Even though all the surgery was done at same time, they have charged as separate ailments. I received £100!!!
I try to ring and can never get through to anyone, waiting for a long time before giving up. I have tried email and get no response, although today I got a response telling me to ring customer services. The same customer services that you can’t get through to!!!
As a loyal customer, I would have hoped to have been treated better.
In these stressful times, people do not have spare money. I incurred the interest on credit card.
Tried to ask for a break down of what I’d been paid but person did not understand what I was asking for so I gave up.
Terrible service
Thank you for your reply, however I have already emailed customer services who replied after a week, telling me to call customer services. I am not able to get through via the phone.

I have used Healthy Paws for the past 4 years on my rescue dog, Cooper. Unfortunately, he had many major medical issues and had many serious procedures. I had the 90% reimbursement plan which gave me significant piece of mind when I would have to take Cooper to the emergency vet every time he was sick. They reimbursed me within 7-10 days and communicated quickly regarding each claim. I can not express my gratitude for Healthy Paws and their coverage. It is the best investment you can make for your best friend.

Renewal quote was unfortunately higher. Called to discuss ways to reduce this. Easy to get through on the phone. Provided a quote for a new policy rather than a renewal as discount available on new policies. Got competitive price and set it up for me there and then. Easy to resolve issue. Friendly staff. Shame renewal price wasn't more competitive.
