"STAY AWAY!!..."

This company has harrased, taken money and not provided any service but continue to try to take more money from my family. They won't resolve the issue, and when asked to provide any sort of contract they say we signed they ignore the request! I see so many other people that have the same issues so it's not a one time thing.

"We added FLUENT to our home back in…..."

We added FLUENT to our home back in 2018. When we decided to sell and move to a new home the people at FLUENT told us to remove the system our selves to save on a Technician coming out, as the new owners were not interested in keeping the system. When we removed the main panel a disgusting hole in the wall was discover. When we called them and sent a picture of the damage to explain what they were prepared to do, we got nothing. Frankly over the years this company was actually a poor example of a home security provider and would highly never recommend!

"Dishonest company..."

Dishonest company. My elderly mother was manipulated into signing up even though she told Ryan she did not have internet, gmail accout or a cell phone. He signed her up for a gmail account. We cannot access her gmail account because Ryan has changed it. We cannot access her contract because it is in gmail account. We have talked to multiple people in customer service and they have only dragged their feet. Fluent was notified within 7 days of when Ryan cohered my mother into purchasing a system she cannot use. This is elderly abuse.

"Horrible experience!..."

I’m in Lubbock, TX. There is no one to service problems w the alarm system.
I canceled my contract and they are still trying to monthly remove money from my account.

"Customer for over 7 years..."

Alarm company I've had for 7 years called to lower my monthly cost. Wasn't very clear to me at the time of the call they were extending my contract 4 years. Apparently customer service had the recorded call saying I verbally agreed. Once I was emailed the written contract shortly after the phone call I did not sign it because I did not agree with the terms. Alarm company says written contract was not needed and I'm in a contract for the rest of term.

Customer service was absolutely embarrassingly bad. Yelled at me, spoke over me, and said I 'don't know everything'. I asked to speak to a manager and was told "they don't speak on the phones."

"HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACTS WITH FLUENT!..."

We had our door alarm go off when we were not home and Fluent did not contact us or call and dispatch the police. We ended up having to call the police ourselves. After calling the police ourselves, we called Fluent's call center and asked why we had not been contacted. Their response was "we are pretty busy" (they somehow had time to answer our call though). When I called them a couple of days later during business hours to inquire about why they didn't provide the monitoring services that we are paying for, they told me they thought I was lying. I requested the activity logs and received them, which proved that they did not contact us. When I called back with the logs for proof, I was told that they would do nothing about it and that they will not let us out of the contract that they were in direct breach of. To make a long story short, we have held up our end of the deal, paying for their service every month, and when we needed their services, they did not provide them. Fluent is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with and is completely untrustworthy. DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACTS WITH FLUENT!

Update: Now fluent lied again by saying they “couldn’t find an account with the information provided.” This is misleading anyone reading their reply to think that we may not actually have an account with them. The account is under my name Fluent. Try searching by my name and stop leaving misleading replies. I will say it again, completely useless and untrustworthy company. DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACTS WITH THEM!

"Horrible customer service..."

Horrible customer service. 1 star only because I had to. Some of our equipment is/was not working & we called end of November 2022 to request service, as well our contract had expired. We discussed some new upgrades to our equipment and agreed to a new contract as we hadn't had any other issues up until that time. Now, 1 month later we have still not received any of the new equipment, our other stuff is still broken, we have called multiple times, don't get call backs, call center employees are rude and argumentative, they refused to let us speak to a manager. They are still saying it will be another 6 weeks before any service will be done because they don't have a technician in our area. We tried to cancel because they are not meeting their contract & they "refuse" to let us out of the contract. So, we are paying for broken equipment that isn't working and can't get it fixed. One call center/ 'resolution" staff even said he thinks "6-8 weeks is perfectly reasonable timeframe to service security equipment", apparently doesn't matter if something happens within that timeframe. We have taken this to external sources, but this has been a horrid experience.

"6 week wait for repairs and upgrading - (added to Consumer Beware List)..."

My Fluent system is not working, 3 months after my current contract expired. I contacted them about getting it fixed and at the same time I added more equipment and upgraded others. After the contract was signed on 25 Nov I found out they have no technicians in my area that can do the work. The earliest date I have for them to possibly come is 5 Jan. I told them that that was not reasonable and as its after 30 days specified in my contract for delivery of goods and services that I want to cancel. They refused and offered me two free months. Two free months for a non functioning home security service with fire, gas, and flood monitoring. Totally unacceptable. I have engaged with my local government consumer protection agency to rectify this. Horrible support for their products. Avoid this company.

Aug 2023 - The Ontario Consumer Protection folks took my case based on the actions of Fluent and sent them two notices in an attempt to resolve this, none of which were responded to. Because of their lack of action Fluent Home is now on Ontario's Consumer Beware List.
Avoid this company!!!

"I seriously cringe giving this company…..."

I seriously cringe giving this company one star because they deserve zero. We had them for five years on a contract. Over those five years the service was awful. The alarm was always having issue and every time we called nobody knew what was going on. We moved from our house right at the end of our contract. We called them and let them know we were moving and they told us that our contract was almost over and we wouldn’t be billed anymore. We moved and three months later we noticed that they had still been charging us every month even though we didn’t have a contract anymore. We called and they told us that we were supposed to send something in writing. They never told us that when we called originally. They also told us that they don’t do refunds so we weren’t getting our money back. We sent an email stating that we wanted our service canceled as the person on the phone had told us to do. And today, a month later they freaking charged us again! My husband called them and of course we were told a totally different story that we have to fill out some form. I’m looking into small claims court because this company is a total scam and has taken hundreds of dollars from us for an alarm that we don’t even have anymore. If you’re considering this company, run the other direction. Literally any other alarm company would be a better choice.

"If I could give this company 0 stars I…..."

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. There were several issues with my system (it literally was not monitoring my home for several months) we were not even aware that the system was broken! We were not reimbursed for any of this period where the service we were paying for was not provided.

The system was disconnected and we were not contacted about this either. When I contacted customer service to cancel our contract (with 3 months remaining) the best they could do was offer a 1 month credit! Normally I would just accept this, but given the over 6 months we went without a functional security system I felt it was not unreasonable to be credited for the last 3 remaining months.

This company is by far the worst I have dealt with! It is one thing to have a system not working, its another to have no idea that it isn't working and pay for a service you aren't receiving! Luckily I live in a safe neighborhood, things could have turned out quite differently.
