"Downright Hostile!"

Has to be the most unfriendly, unhelpful shop anywhere! Had to find an employee to take my money, and she was just plain rude. In the end I walked out and took my custom elsewhere. Will never return.

"How do they get away with it… awful"

How do they get away with it… did you know that the members only prices don’t work on all coop members cards! I have a coop local to me and the prices can be dramatically different depending if you’re a member. So I downloaded the member card and have been using it thinking I was being charged member prices however I just found out there’s different cards tor different Co op’s. This is extremely misleading and seem to me that they are doing this on purpose to mislead their customers! I will not be shopping at the Co op any more because I don’t like their ethics with this system that is out to get one over on us.

"This is in relation to Coop Maldon"

This is in relation to Coop Maldon. They offer the Evri parcel service. Dropped a parcel in there on the Thursday, it didn't get collected. So i phoned up and they said it definitely wasn't there. The next day tracking showed it was still there. So i called again to be told it definitely wasn't there again. I therefore raised an issue with Evri to then have it collected on the Monday as it was there all the time and they hadn't been handing it to the Evri collection gentleman. Very poor considering i called twice and it took them 4 days to hand my parcel over.

3 basket collection points contains 1 black basket (all three cable tied to the roller holders) so although you can see three baskets you cannot use them(what a waste of a store product designed to help customers) why not cable tie an A4 piece of laminated paper with a message "run out please contact a store colleague "
When I went to the kiosk (no staff in any other checkout) the staff member informed me to "look for another member of staff as I'm busy here"
Empty shelves everywhere
Obviously a 4th division company or store
Is it the company or store management?

"A chicken bake with 1% chicken. Yuk"

I just made the stupid mistake of eating their Chicken and Ham Bake. It was awful. I had one piece of chicken and the ham pieces were so tiny you wouldn’t notice them. I couldn’t taste the cheese on top at all. So I basically ate a potato bake with a small lump of chicken in it. It was awful. Please remove it from your shelves Co-Op. I should get a refund but I’ve lost my receipt ☹️

"Steak is Beef. Not Chicken!"

I've just had an allergic reaction to Handmade Steak and Balsamic Onion Sandwich and it was very frightening. Bar code 5 000129339581.
I believed Steak was Beef. Read the ingredients in the shop stating all the potential ingredients that may cause allergies in bold, but missed the fact that it contains Chicken. Chicken Fat, to be presice. It was right at the end of a list of about 100 items.
I'm allergic to Chicken.
I could sue you for negligence as it's a breach of consumer rights. Misleading the customer in this respect can be fatal.
I will update my review at a later date as I'm handwriting a letter of complaint via Royal Mail, so it might be a long wait.

"Sent wrong items and poor quality, complaints process is really slow "

Placed an order through their website for delivery under 5559169. When it arrived, they sent me the wrong tobacco and tobacco flavour cards. None of this was registered as a substitution on their site. They charged me for 50g amber leaf and sent me 50g gold leaf. Gold leaf is £6 cheaper and is disgusting!!! No one will smoke it. Raised a complaint and still to hear back after submitting all evidence requested. Ordered carnation flowers at the same time. They arrived dead and have never opened up. I expected better from co-op and thought it was a brand I could trust. Not after this experience. I will never use them again. Will be contacting my card company to do a charge back if I don't hear back soon as I've done everything that has been asked of me. Shameful experience.

"I was annoyed following my recent visit…"

I was annoyed following my recent visit to my local Co-op at Lostock in Northwich. I encountered a frustrating situation where I was forced to queue for the self-service till, only to find one of them out of order. To make matters worse, there was no one being served at the normal checkout, while the till assistant appeared to be doing nothing.
This experience was quite disappointing, as it not only wasted my time but also made my shopping trip unnecessarily stressful. I believe that customer service should be a priority, and I hope you can address this issue to improve the experience for future customers.

"Their prices are astronomical compared…"

Their prices are astronomical compared to other shops. I would understand if they had quality to justify their prices, but it is not even close to that, in fact, even worse compared to off-license corner shops! They also run the biggest scam ever known to man, they advertise their app and ask to pay for membership to get discounted items in store. It turns out that only selected shops apply this discount and accept "membership" cards! What a garbage company. Everyone I know from my friends holds the same opinion about this company, and it seems the majority of people who are reviewed here do too. The coop management are clueless and doesn't care how their business is falling apart, they are just happy for another day. After the "paid membership" was declined in the shop, I will never visit this sinkhole again, and neither will my family.
