"Figi's Would Not Honor Their Guarentee"

I ordered a gift basket on Dec. 9th to be delivered to a relative before Christmas. The gift basket arrived Dec.26th. Unbelievable!
The customer service person put the blame on the shipping company and offered me 30% refund + S&H. I told her that the web site clearly shows a Guarantee that if for any reason you are unsatisfied, they will refund the purchase. She said that this does not qualify. So I ended up taking the 30% + S&H and will NEVER purchase another item from Figi's again.

"Shamefully, This is a very disappointing site that waste a fortune on beautiful advertising!"

This is a very disappointing site. One can start with the customer service which is unconscionable, hostile, unprofessional and offensive. Continue to never receiving the order, re-issuing it, to, out of stock,to dis-continuing the item, which in retrospect may be a blessing? Nonetheless a lot of time was wasted and exposure to rude, incompetent and unprofessional customer service representatives could have been averted. No holiday spirit what-so-ever, Bah Humbug for sure!

"I ordered something for my cousin and…"

I ordered something for my cousin and it didn't get there in time. I ordered it Dec 11th and it didn't get there till Dec 22nd, which was too late he already left for his mom's house and won't be back till Jan 2nd. We were supposed to get a free gift,....well that never happened. We were given 4 different order numbers which we couldn't track because they were all wrong. All my family orders things during the holidays from Figis, not anymore because they all ordered this year and none of the items made it till after Christmas and some are still waiting for theirs. Bad business because their employees are telling me I never ordered on the 11th of Dec. Also she kept asking what my name was. This Company is history now, we thought we would give them one more chance but this year was the worse ever. Don't buy from this Company they don't have the slightest idea how to run a Company. I would actually give them no stars.

"Worst customer service"

Worst customer service! I ordered four items and they took it upon themselves to bill my credit for $48.00 more than the receipt. It is almost impossible to speak to someone. The emails I received arguing my case say they're right and I'm wrong. NOT! Good thing I have receipts showing the lower price and a credit card company to back me up!!! Stay away from Figi's!

"Miniature items full price!!"

Received a catalog from Birchland/Figi’s and thought it would be nice to order somethings from the catalog for the holidays. I was totally wrong. Ordered the items and received miniature items for full price. First off, a few of the items I did order were in my basket and then when I ordered them they were out of stock, totally disappointed. Called customer service and was on hold for a very long time, ugh. They were no help to resolve my problem at all. When I did receive the items they were Very small and Not worth the price at all.

"Figis stole from my 72 year old mother…"

Figis stole from my 72 year old mother whom was trying to make my Christmas season a little brighter.

Figi substituted crap cheeses and low end sausage for a Ribeye while delivering $100 worth of product and charging her over $200. They didn't deliver two fudge wheels or a smoked Turkey breast.

Product quality has gone down hill severely since the buy out, you're best to not even bother trying to deal with customer service, they'll just hang up on you or put you on hold to never answer.

Corporate door slamming while rotating perishable stock not even ordered, you're in a sad state Figis.

Just don't buy from Figis.

Loved the gift we received from Allen @ Debbie Myers of Elkin, nc. The breakfast basket was so nice. We were overwhelmed at the items and my husband tore right into it. I am using the basket for christmas. Thanks for being a great company and providing great products. Huffman family

I am writing this in response to quite a few of these reviews, but particularly, Renee's.

First off, I in no way, shape or form speak for or represent the company. I am a lowly, front line employee who deals with individuals like you on a daily basis.

I do not understand the thought process that would lead you here after your experience just to complain about the "terrible customer service."

You received a faulty item. I get that, but it happens. You are not the first, nor will you be the last, customer of any company who receives a product that does not meet typical standards. If the fact that mistakes happen is a concept you are unable to understand when dealing with businesses of this scale, then you are going to have a really tough time in this world.

Next, you complain that you had to wait on hold. I am curious what you expect during a company's busiest time of the year. Hold times during peak seasons are standard for literally any company you can imagine, and the same people answering your calls are the same people responding to your emails. So your entitled urge to be able to push yourself to the front of the line through calling, emailing, tweeting, etc. is not only making the process slower for everyone else, it is making it slower for yourself.

To address the rest of your complaint, allow me to let you in on a secret: the fudge you received was a free gift. The sender didn't buy anything for you. For spending X amount of dollars they were given a FREE gift of fudge that they chose to send to you. To make up for this mistake with your free gift, you were offered significant compensation in the form of 3 gifts worth considerably more money. Why this replacement gift, why not send you fudge? Because obviously something was wrong with the fudge!

I do not know if you understand supply chain management and ordering on this scale, but we cannot just make new fudge appear...in the middle of the Christmas holiday. So, the company did what it could and, along with eating the cost of the FREE fudge that was sent to you, decided to eat even more cost -including shipping- all to make customers happy.

Explain to me how that is not good customer service? Because it sounds as though your only complaint is that the world was not built specifically to satisfy you every step of the way. These customer service reps work very hard to assist in cleaning up mistakes they had no part in making. They are people, they have families, and they deserve better than to be berated, talked down to, and demonized online by the likes of you.
