"Terrible company - AVOID"

Terrible. Horrible sexist sales person. Someone knocked on our door saying they could give us a quote. AWR refused to give a quote to my partner as "needed to be a husband" after explaining several times husband was never going to be home as I dont have one AWR refused to give a quote.

Further telephone call to rearrange a quote and again refused as "Husband" is at home. This was not to do any work only to give a quote.

Terrible customer service and communication. This is sexist and this company is a waste of time.

Had these come out to my address yesterday after a salesperson came to my door and took my telephone number. I had a call from their office and arranged a visit within the hour after explaining what I wanted. Had a representative come to my house and when I sat and told them that I didn’t want a certain product they called their office and openly tried to bully me. The male put their office on loud speaker and started saying I was ‘stupid’ for not wanting one of their products right in front of me in my own home, despite telling the sales rep at the door and the male on the phone what I wanted. Absolutely disgusting attitude towards a young girl living on her own.

The sales person was very accomodating and the estimator was very efficient. The person talking to us about finance was very helpful and the installers did an excellent Job.

Let me start: installed a door with this company few years back, they knocked on my door and I didn't check the alternatives, they use cheap sales tricks like agree to this best deal we offer now or it will be more expensive if you wait, putting pressure on you to make the decision which is a bit crap, I work in sales (for a good company though) and I wouldn't do this to my customers. Cut story short, door was installed (not from the first time though as they messed up dims), after chasing them few times they managed to complete it. They didn't issue Fensa cert and I had to order one separately when sold the house. They followed up today and funny coincidence I was looking for someone to fit few windows, already had offers from local companies ranging from 2k to 2.9k (all with good reviews on different site), the guy from AWR came, did the measurements and told me that because I have used them in the past they will offer me best discounts ever, calculated and said that he can give me a quote with validity of 12 months for this work and it would cost...drumroll... 6k!!! 6 flipping k. Then (as they always do) phoned the office when I told him I was planning to go with trader offering 2.2k to get a better deal and came up with 3.4k if I agree NOW and 4.4 if I agree later. Will not use them again. Most annoying are cheap old style sales tricks and putting pressure on you to prevent you from looking elsewhere. He was also saying that their frames are 6 compartments inside (or what ever is called) and I was probably offered cheap ones from this other company: emailed the other company and they came back confirming they use the same type of frame. I suppose the company is trying to survive on tiny 70% margins or something.

"Great windows, doors and fitters"

Great salesman, fast survey, really good fitters. Issue with the parts for the front window that needed replacing and took two weeks to resolve. Office survey lady was not very helpful. Overall, once fitted look good, are of decent quality and I am now satisfied. NG9721

Cannot praise the guys high enough. They were friendly and very respectful of my property. They cleared up as they went along. Customer service was more than satisfactory.

"Avoid, Avoid, Avoid…"

I would strongly advise anyone who is considering using this company not to. Recently had windows and doors replaced. Was a nightmare from start to finish. Following the survey, I was informed that the installation would take 3 days (27th-29th Feb 24) with the plasterer then making good any damage for a further 2 days. The job took over 5 weeks in total. The installer walked out after a few hours on the job, stating that he needed to pop out to get materials, but never came back. I then had no communication from anyone for a week. Had to constantly chase up head office to get installation completed. Two windows were measured incorrectly, and two were damaged on delivery which delayed the process further. We also informed the installer that we wished to retain one of the existing windows as we intended to use it on another project. The installer dumped all of the seals for the window rendering the window useless for future use. I was informed that due to this window being of a turn and tilt design, a replacment could not be offered. All of the workers were unprofessional and incredibly messy, leaving debris around the garden for weeks. The plaster did an awful job, and spent most of his time complaining about the installer's shoddy workmanship and the fact he had to travel a long distance from Doncaster. He also got plaster on our carpet. We had a manager come out and inspect the work as we were so dissatisfied. Arrangements were made for another plasterer to come and rectify the work after all the trims and seals were fitted. This has discoloured all of the window sealant as a result. As a consequence of all of the issues raised, we stated that we would expect our invoice to be reduced to compensate the inconvenience we have experienced. The reduction did not reflect the need to source an alternative window due to their installer's incompetence and I was further informed that any reduction offered by the company would be on the basis that I did not leave a bad review. Whilst the initial quote may seem competitive, I would strongly suggest you go elsewhere. The hassle, stress, mess, incompetence and inconvenience just isn't worth it, you will have to be constantly chasing to get the most basic of tasks done.
