I had a good experience dealing with the team at Greenbelt. Particularly the legal team who assisted swiftly with enquiries relating to the purchase and sale of the property.

"Rude and Unhelpful"

Rude. Complete lack of transparency in regards to the bill. Hide behind phrases such as Base Index Date but without being able to disclose what figure or percentage that is. They cannot give proof of what the bill is based on either. They are not interested in any complaints about the contractors frequency or quality of their work. Basically you are expected to pay the bill of whatever figure they make up and have zero input as to the lack of service provided by the grounds maintenance provided. Their customer service team are rude and abrupt and stop replying to emails when you start asking for actual factual information.

The breakdown of the 'services' this company claim to do are ridiculous. My estate is charged £225 quarterly for play area inspections. My share of two of these is £1.53, so by my maths, there are around 300 households paying this nonsense charge too. I don't actually mind having these inspections, however what is the point of an inspection if what you inspect is cack and has been for 6 years and NOTHING is done about it? The 'playground' outside my house which consists of a spinning potty, three incredibly exciting metal cylinders/ seats and some makings painted on the floor. I know what you're thinking...'Jesus, where is this playground? Tell me and I'll chuck the kids in the car and head straight over!' But...the paintings previously mentioned, are so worn away I'm expecting some archaeologists to visit soon mistaking them for historical artefacts, the metal cylinders are about as welcoming as a Polish boarder control officer, if you are brave enough to sit on one of these rust covered, chemical-waste looking barrels I'd advise booking your tetanus immediately. Good new..the spinning potty works fine!
SO WHAT HAS GREENBELT DONE FOLLOWING THESE INSPECTIONS? of which I think there must have been 24 in the 6 years this crumbling, derelict deathtrap has been an eyesore in our estate's communal area (that'd be nearly £6000)
Ba ba ba, ba ba ba baaaaah (those were trumpets) they've stuck 30cm of black and yellow tape on ONE of the rusty oil drums.
Keep up the outstanding work Greenbelt, your balaclavas are in the post. We've also been waiting two years for you the replace the TWO roads signs that a car knock down on Rosehip Avenue...actually forget I said...can you imagine the bill? I'd have to sell a kidney!

I have lived in my property for the last 4 years without any charges then out of the blue I received a demand
for charges for the next year.
I emailed them the facts and got a rude and basically threatening email that answered none of my original questions. with statements, unless I pay the bill in a time that they think is reasonable they will send me to a debt collector. They could care less about the estate they just want money. Considering they have done nothing on the estate they are already in breach of their own rules.
They have sent no proof they own the land, they have claimed ownership of council cycle paths and said they I must pay for its up keep... This company has no care for the people they claim to provide services for.


Just in case anyone read the reply. There are no amenity areas on our estate, and since the original posting, the council has confirmed in writing that The high Ways Agency owns and maintains they cycle path. This proof has been sent to green belt who have not responded!

I have asking Green belt since June 2024 to trim down overgrown shrubs behind our back fence, which used to be trimmed annually prior to Covid, however, despite regular phone calls and e-mails, now in Dec 2024, still no action has been taken. It’s disappointing and frustrating.
