Had a bit of difficulty with my handicap on the app and went on the SkyGolf360 chat to resolve it. I gave up tbh but you know what I got an email with an answer to my query, then a follow up which resolved the issue. Brilliant customer service… massive thanks to ‘whoever’ helped me in SkyGolf360 Support! First rate.

"SX550 issues with upload"
SX550
Used the device for a couple of years, great initially but now I constantly get a error during the upload following play.
Device has gone back and informed it’s been tested, I ask how… last it was wiped and returned, now tested by uploading with no course play.
Simulation is far from realistic, I have sent screen shots, evidence on more than one occasion.
Annoying and frustrating left with little alternatives now but to look for other device such as Garmin.
Enjoy my golf, I had up until now had good experience, raved about the sx 550 but left feeling isolated as very little is done to resolve the problem which continues to impact the joy of the sport.
Informed to delete records and try, it’s like switching off and on again how does this solve the problem it’s about recording records - deleting them defeats the objective.

Agreed controlled test has been conducted, this reply has annoyed me. Technicians have used a demo round to check the device.... checking the upload (Online), explain why the maps are blank, why despite scoring the shots aren't marked etc.,
Go and run the test in the field, using a couple of courses, use live data, real test data and then inform me otherwise,
This situation is simply ridiculous, the device is just outside warranty, I had to renew my subscription and now 'surprise' I am getting issues. Not to mention that a refurb unit was sent post initial testing which shows admission that a fault exists,
I now have a refurb replacement, the unit has been in repair twice and I still don't have functional unit and the second device is worse than the first. Again supporting mail - GPS locks are periodically astray...
This is not great situation

I have tried on numerous occasions to get my LX5 watch working properly through the chat line. What a waste of time and space. Utterly rubbish. My watch in the past showed suggestions of club to use when you marked it. This no longer works? When I chatted to Dominic he said it only works on the course? If so why ? did I bother him when it was obvious that it did not work and that was why I was on the chat line and (2) Another chat with Victor to ascertain if my iphone would show calls and text on my LX5 watch he said he you find out and email No email, however Dominic said that it did not work with phone? Sad thing I have paid 3 years inscription to this company.. Real bad move

Website is slow and clunky and now unable to log into my account. Have used various browsers but the result is still the same and the login button continually spinning.
I’ve now had an email from Trustpilot today (8th June) that skygolf.com has flagged my review because they don’t think it’s based on a genuine experience. If I don’t provide any evidence, my review will be taken down. Obviously skygolf don’t want any negative views. Worth noting that the original review was in April and things do seem to be improved.

I have had Skycaddie devices for over 10 years. I "upgraded" to the SX 550 over 5 years ago. I have had the same experience with this particular unit type (4 replacements). Within 10 minutes of turning it on - I get the error message that it is overheating and will shut off. I need to move it to cooler place. I live in Phoenix AZ. In the summer at 100+ degrees, there is no cooler place. I have not used it for 6 months until 3 days ago. Unsurprisingly, I got the overheating message. It was only 85 degrees. I put it away for good. I just use my phone now.

Poor quality products this is the second skycaddie product I have had that has had issues after warranty has run out when I have updated after paying for new subscription think I might just go with a lazer from now. Yes sky caddie asked me to send in device which they say they tested but it came back still with the original tamper proof sticker still intact so not sure what they could of done to find fault without even looking inside the device.

"New SX550 - Helping me reduce my shots per round!"
Just bought me a new SX550 for my golf game. I was a little hesitant in purchasing this SkyCaddie since it seems that some reviews were not favorable. I went ahead and purchased one due to my friend having one and suggesting I give it a try. I must say it was well worth it! I did have some issues with getting the device connected properly to download courses at first. I was able to call in to customer service and talk to one of their representatives. They were able to figure out that my firewall was causing some issues over my WiFi network. Once that issue was resolved I was able to easily download the courses I was interested in. Took it out the first day and shot my lowest round of this year by scoring 5 shots better than normal. Having yardages to all points on the course has made a huge difference! I as able to play faster, smarter, and thoroughly enjoyed my round the first time using the SX550. Will definitely recommend to others interested in a GPS device for golf.

My Skycaddie sx500 wouldn't charge up I contacted Skycaddie support and was told they no longer fixed them in the UK and would have to buy a new product with a discount for my unit which I thought was totally scandalous. I Managed to find a company in the UK to fix the charging port for a small fee Skycaddie now working perfectly. I think there customer service is non existent and if you make negative comments they will be removed from there forum.
