"very disappointed"

I have been trying to reach someone in the warranty department since October 21st. I have left at least 8 messages that have not been answered to date. I would not recommend quality used transmissions to anyone.

"company won't respond to emails or phone calls"

I recently had a replacement transmission put in my Honda Odyssey and a week after it was installed the Honda dealer informed me that the shift detent was bad and it was not safe to drive. I immediately contacted the Warranty department and per his instructions sent in a picture of the odometer reading and a statement from the dealer stating what the issue was. They did have a replacement transmission sent to the dealer but has ignored every email and phone call regarding the cost of labor. I have never had a phone call returned from anyone. I am now out $1184.24 that I had to pay for the installation of the replacement transmission. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Their customer service is the worst I have ever received.

"Watch out, read the fine print carefully!"

I got a transmission that didn't work well from day one. However, the terms of the warranty seemed to be written in such a way that it was nearly impossible to claim. You don't know the requirements ahead of time so you might not do the things that would enable you to make a claim. The company is not easy to get hold of by phone and even they don't seem to know what their warranty requires when asked. Be careful, know what you're getting into before you buy.

"No Wiring Harness"

My transmission arrived at the transmission shop that is installing it. I then received a call from the shop that the wiring harness was not included with the used transmission. In their experience, the used transmissions they get have the harness, and are plug and play. I was told this will cause 2-3 hours more labor (and we all know what that means at 95 clams an hour). They do not mention on the web site that you have to supply your own harness. My shops thoughts are they sell them separately to make additional profit, but the used suppliers they use includes it. Not as good a deal now. Ask if your supplier includes harness so you can make an informed decision...

"poor service"

Attempted to resolve problems with transmission. 1. wrong transfer case, 2.bad seals, 3.first gear slipping. Attempted contact 15 times with no reply. Ended up paying for a transfer case, new seals. I thought a phone call would resolve problems with no luck.

"Worst customer support to date and no honoring of warranty."

I purchased a certified / warrantied transmission. Shortly after installation I got a check engine light of p0700 error which per mechanic is related to transmission cylinoid. I reported this back to the company in which they responded once via email to have the error code checked out which I gave in the initial warranty query. No response after initial response. Went to BBB which was not able to get further response. BBB posted 'Customer not satisfied with the business response; BBB did not find business made good faith effort to resolve complaint.”. Off to Dept. of ag, trade and consumer protection.

This was a major mistake on my part, should have went with another company that is honorable. I am now into the transmission for 1575 plus now I have to pay out of pocket to fix the certified/warrantied transmission.

Terrible experience.

"I WISH I COULD GIVE A HALF STAR!!!"

Order # 251985 Being someone who works in a customer service industry and understands the importance of online ratings, I feel compelled to tell the universe that this was by far my worst customer service experience EVER!!! Without going on one of those long rants of frustration, I'll summarize my dissatisfaction. I was sent a transmission which was never tested, tried to get it replaced, was given the run-around, ended up having it rebuilt and ended up spending four times the cost with the needed repairs and travel expenses because a two day install became a one month nightmare. I wish I had a physical address or point of contact because I would DEFINITELY take this "company" to small claims court. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM quality used transmissions and check their BBB rating. They should be ashamed of themselves and find it hard to sleep at night.

"Integrity"

The engine I bought from Quality Transmissions was as described in the ad. I inspected the engine inside the cylinders with a bore scope, Checked the oil pressure with a manual gauge and everything pointed to a low mileage engine as it was advertised. The engine has a few hundred miles on it now and is performing great. It also came with the advertised accessories instead of being stripped down to just the long block. This is the way to conduct business in my opinion and a way to keep a customer for repeat business. Thanks QualityTransmissions..
