A certain validation officer is trying to say we don't live in our house !!!! Really? Where the hell do we live then
They lie and generally try to stop your insurance broker paying out
We are 2 months in from our home being burgled and flooded and still nowhere near claim being sorted
Don't touch any insurance broker if they use underwriters and validation officers from crawford
It's a total catastrophe
They interrogate you like your to blame
We were asked did they jump over fence or walk down drive !! Really?how would we know if we were out
Every answer we gave to there 92 recorded telephone call questions they act like they don't believe you
Give this company a miss
They don't believe anything uou tell them
You have to prove everything
They queried why my gardener starts work at my house 6am .. poor gardener had to be questioned
He found the house flooding and called my brother...they said why did he call your brother and not you
Told them he called my brother as he knew he could turn water off
My brother called me
We all had to send proof of all our call logs

Not having a good experience with this company, left lots of messages and emails no one never gets back to me, I know people are busy but can’t return a call in 2 weeks

I would never go out my way to write a review normally however this company needs shut down and investigated Asap what they are doing is illegal. I was burgled my car was stolen and thieves entered my property while I was asleep and took a lot of my personal possessions. My current insurance company I used was Getsafe, they have appointed my claim to Crawfords and the gentleman that’s dealing with this is Thomas McLeod. First of all it took almost a month before they contacted me to set up a interview, my reference claim was wrong to start of with. They delayed it another month saying they were waiting on the police report so basically we are over 2 months into this and finally they said the police confirmed everything and then I get an email saying there case is closed and it’s now back to Getsafe to deal with and they would contact me. Never heard a thing after a week so I called them and getsafe told me Crawford should be giving me a settlement figure. Contacted Thomas again he said they haven’t contacted him. It’s a constant back and forth no one is settling it and there is constant delay tactics.I think what this company does is delay, delay, delay and try every angle not to pay out. I’m now seeking advice to get this company investigated especially when all I see is 1 star reviews. I have no faith that I will be getting the payment to cover the items that were stolen. What is the point in paying insurance if they are getting away with this!!! SCAM

"A shame I can't leave 0 star"
A shame I can't leave 0 star. I cannot believe reputable Insurance Companies are using these cowboys to settle claims. Crawfords is the most incompetent firm and how they are allowed to get away with it baffles me. Like all the other poor souls who have had deal with them to sort out their claims, I too am fed up with their lies, carelessness and unprofessionalism.
Our subsidence claim is 4.5 years old and ongoing and still unresolved. We are never updated and always have to do the chasing. We have had 5 claim handlers and are never told until we call up. They will do everything to avoid paying out. We are living in appalling condition and voiced it many times with photographic proof yet they just don't care. We have now approached the Financial Ombudsman as a last resort. If you ever need to claim and your insurance company appoints Crawfords REFUSE and ask for another loss adjusters. I wish I had known this before. AXA take note.

They don't deserve it! Too much to even bother writing about but to sum it up they are an awful company who never get back to you, never resolve the problem and always seem against trying to help you.
In the end I went back to the insurance company and dealt with them instead!
dont go near them!!!!

"The Absolute Pits..."
This will be the last posting as Crawfords have succeeded in achieving their objective of frustrating,delaying,obfuscating and thwarting this claim to the point where we give up and sort it out ourselves.We have had no cooking facilities now since the 14th of March.Were we to wait for Crawfords to remedy the situation I doubt whether it would be sorted before 14th March next year.We haven't seen a single penny from them towards the refurbishment of the kitchen.We're now into a fifth month,with no sign of anything moving forward.How this set of chiselling weasels sleep at night,I can't imagine.Still,never mind-that bonus for having cheated X number of policy holders out of their dues will be very welcome.To say we are sickened,saddened and disillusioned doesn't begin to convey our feelings.Hopefully,the FCA Ombudsman will be able to sort it out.If you have any option at all,avoid dealing with this set of thumb on the scales,duplicitous sharks.

"Dreadful customer service"
I have an ongoing subsidence claim for my property. It's FINALLY been underpinned, but now I'm left waiting for all the internal repairs and redecoration to be done. I've phoned 4 times and emailed 4 times trying to get a start date for the work and I haven't even had the courtesy of a reply. Terrible customer service.

"Lady in a Van?"
One gold merit is too much of a reward! A zero or minus is a justifiable rating. Communication is non-existent with anybody involved in the claim process and I've learnt the hard way that I should've been tougher but have had to handle this alone with hardly any help and advice. Always appreciated the other person is doing a job so shoud be patient and pleasant (I always hope I am) but I'm at boiling point now. Three years my subsidence claim and covid is no longer the excuse for a delay when the repairs should've started over twelve months ago. Work is now beginning to my house but, it's a shambles. I have no time schedule from the contractor yet and cannot get to speak as the calls don't either get passed on/replied to nor any e-mails. Relocation company have not been in contact despite my messages. It's peak holiday season, and living in a major tourist area, reduced my choice to one with only a week left. That went t*ts up as was told I had to book it myself, pay upfront, and would be reimbursed (I wonder when). I was lucky to be able to juggle money within bank accounts. The booking was a failure as the website practically wanted my signature in blood and I couldn't draw a vein! The Scorpio is coming out in me finally lol. What is a relocation company for? Why leave everything to the last minute? Am I not an important part of this? Feeling very much like Lady in a Van just now, problem is I don't drive. However I do have a cardboard box or two! Basically too many fingers in too many pies and your paperwork gets lost in their bulging pending trays.

"Awful"
Awful, hugely inactive and disappointing. People leave and you're not updated. The claim is taking forever. We had a tree fall and hit the house and smash windows, AXA sadly appointed Crawco to manage the claim and it's been months of nothing. They decided a repair to a sash window was cheaper than replacing it, after 3 months waiting someone came to repair it and said it's beyond repair and needs replacing. It'll be another 3 months for a window to be built. Because of Covid and two extremely vulnerable members we have to move them out for safety when people come in. An 85yr old is sleeping in an unventilated pitch black room with glass.
Slow responses and trying to cut costs is making this difficult time even more stressful. The agents you speak to are pretty friendly, but no one seems to do anything. Bizarre and seemingly not very competent company. I'd urge Insurance companies not to use them.

"Hopeless to the point of negligence"
Worst customer experience I have ever had bar none. If I could give them zero or negative stars I would. I am out of my home due to water damage deeming it uninhabitable. Was originally moved to a Travelodge. Then a serviced apartment. They only renew at the very last minute meaning it can be booked by someone else while you are staying there meaning you need to move again. I am now homeless as the adjuster didn't renew my apartment in time. I have had to beg my ex to take the kids during my time as I cannot house them. Crawfords dont care. Dont answer calls or emails. Disgusting service and a negligent, contemptible company. FCA here we come.
