"Karibaa I'd daylight robbery"

I made an order with kariba 10 Feb 2023 value at R2793, for text books..
I was told it will arrive early March, dololo, that didn't happen.. then I had to write a review in order to get a response, and they said the week of the 20th march 2023, it's 23 march, still no response, when I call, they tell me, they don't know what I am talking about... I am actually opening a case now because they stole lots of money from me.. I have tried to be patient, but they don't do their part.
I want my money back, and I will do what ever it takes to get it back.

"DO NOT BUY FROM KARIBAA"

I placed an order on the 12.01.2023 and made payment, my order was confirmed on the 16.01.2023 as I received am email stating they received my payment. My order number was 000003931. On the 16.01.2023, I received an email from Karibaa stating my order was out of stock and the email mentioned I will get a refund within 7 working days. The email requested my banking details to which I submitted the same day(16.01.2023). On the 24.02.2023, I received an email from Karibaa stating they are sorry I have not yet received my refund. I have tried to call and email since then with no luck. Karibaa stole R627.00 from me. DO NOT BUY FROM KARIBAA, they are worst.

Order number #000000539 Placed on 13 Sep 2022. Payment acknowledged. Nothing received, despite five follow-up emails and attempts to call the helpline. There is clearly something very wrong at Karibaa. At the end of November I gave up hope and asked for a refund but never heard from them again. Be very wary.

"Order #000003001 at Karibaa for Carpet Cleaner on 19 Dec"

I placed an order and paid for it on 19 December 2022 at Karibaa.com for carpet cleaner. I got an email to confirm that they received my order and payment. On 22 December 2022 I receive email from Manicaa Sales stating that my order will be deliver beginning of XXXX week, when I asked what date is XXX? I only receive automatic reply email that ticket has been created. Emailed again on 9 January 2023, again receive email that ticket has been created. On 11 January 2023 somebody phoned me without giving name, and said that my parcel will arrived on 16 January. By 30 January I send email again to asked about my parcel, receive ticket email again. Ons 9 February I decided to phone the company. They told met that they are going to refund me due to OUT OF STOCK item and send me an email asking for my banking details. When I asked when refund will be done they reply withing 7-14 working days and that I will receive proof of refund on separate email. Sent emails on 23 Febr, 28 Febr, 1 March and 6 March, withou any reply, phone 11 times and receive only the automatic answering message that consultant wil answer soon without any answering. Still wait for my refund that should been done before 28 Februarie 2023!!

It is now more than 24 hours later since I got the feedback that my refund will be done within 24 hours. Still no refund!!! This I am going to report this company at the Consumer Protection Commission!!! Please don't buy anything by Karibaa they are definitely a scam!!!!!

I received my refund for above order this morning. Precious send me her email, and at least she come back to me. But I will never order at Karibaa again.!

"I have an order#000003081 for 3 books…"

I have an order#000003081 for 3 books from Dec 2022. I was told via an email from Manicaa Sales that I could expect the delivery on 16 Jan 2023.
I asked for an update on 23 Jan 2023. I was informed on 26 Jan via an email from Manicaa Sales that my package had been delayed by a customs issue which was rectified.
I still haven't received the items in Mar 2023.
I have written emails to customer support at Karibaa on 9, 21, 23 and 26 Feb, asking for an update. All I get back is an automated email telling me that a ticket has been created. Then nothing.
Today I tried calling the Jhb office on 0115687959, and spent 10min 22sec listening to a voicemail about getting connected to the next available agent but no such connection.
It's a totally unacceptable business practice and service.

Cancelled immediately after receiving a email of 30day wait. Sent 3 follow-up emails and received no reply up till now. Only confirmation of the order.
After reading all these reviews, I am wondering if this a scam website...

"I ordered on the 23 December 2022"

I ordered on the 23 December 2022 , order 000003167 and on the 9th Jan 23 i was told my order was out of stock and i will be refunded but now my emails are being ignored not even getting updates on my refund and its already March. Poor customer service

"I posted a review on the 13th February…"

I posted a review on the 13th February regarding my experience with Karibaa. Miracles, out of the blue I received an email offering me a refund, which I quickly accepted, and today the money was in my account. Wondering whether my earlier review was to blame in some way, but it seems unless you get sh!tty sometimes, nothing happens! Anyway, grateful I received my money back.

"Refund due to inability to execute order. Waiting and waiting etc. No positive feedback when my refund will take place. My options are reporting to Consumer Council or going to the press."

On 16 February I've placed an order for a carpet washer (order 000005230). The next day I received confirmation that my order will be processed and thereafter information that the item is out of stock and that I will be refunded. This will happens within 48 hours but it was also mentioned that it might take slightly longer due to high volumes etc. Refund was promised within 7 working days. My bank details were requested for the refund which I submitted immediately. Then, I tried to contact them by telephone with no success, my e-mails are ignored and not even an attempt to update me on anything.
