"It's a sham"
I had booked a ticket for my wife via Viama for travel from Minneapolis to India. The travel date was March 16, 2020. By March 11, india has disallowed entry to foreigners on account of the coronavirus issue. I sent repeated requests to vayama to cancel the ticket and send me a voucher, which the airline (qatar) was offering. I couldn't talk to them because they had shut down their phone service. They gave vague answers to my messages and never cancelled the ticket. I lost $976.
This company is a sham. Their license should be revoked.

I am trying to cancel a reservation and they do not even have an option to do that on their website. If anyone from Vayama is reading this, please cancel VUS - 15971898 as soon as possible.

"Vayama's Non-Existent Response to Coronavirus-related Cancellations"
This review is about Vayama's lack of response to my request for a cancellation and refund of my flights within Argentina because of the Corona virus. I have used their internal communications "contact us" to TWICE to request a cancellation and refund, and I emailed them directly days later for the same thing. CRICKETS.
Their website says that someone will get back to the customer within 24 hours. It has been 98 hours. I have over $500 dollars on the line, and cannot get to Argentina based on travel restrictions. I called the airline operators and they directed me back to Vayama to refund the ticket.
Poor customer service, and very insensitive treatment during these times.

"Non existent customer service - SCAM"
Your customer service is non existent. The phone number is useless, I called several times and stayed on hold for more than an hour (yes you read it right - more than an hour) and then I was auto disconnected saying that we are sorry we cannot serve you, please call back at a later time. Not once, not twice, but three times. Are you f****** kidding with me. What kind of non sense is that. Never using you again. Everyone please stay away from these scammers. They will sell you the ticket and that's it then they don't know you.

I have been trying to get in touch with Vayama via email and over the phone for more than two weeks now and not a single response is provided. I made a reservation for six people (all family members) for a flight from Amman to Cairo which we are unable to take due to travel restrictions imposed by several government in the region caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.
I called EgyptAir today and they confirmed that they are offering a single change of date, free of charge and applicable to our tickets, but they also emphasized that this would have to be done through Vayama. EgyptAir's customer service manager was quite emphatic and assertive that it is Vayama's responsibility to follow the airlines' directives, and it is the customer's responsibility to request that service. He was very upset and told me that these type of third services providers are looking at this worldwide health crisis as an excuse to make extra money and/or wash their hands of any responsibility. He recommended me to keep pushing and worst case scenario, file a formal complaint with IATA so their permit was removed. Maybe this is something that all upset customers here can do in unison.

While this is a frustrating situation, and additional customer service would be better, this is unprecedented, so I understand issues coming up.
I reached out to the CEO over LinkedIn, and he informed me they will absolutely be refunding tickets and are waiting for the airlines to refund them.
Just wanted to post this to calm everyone's nerves; these are crazy times. Hope everyone stays healthy, and let's have some fun travel next year lol

Terrible customer service. Not worth the head ache. Book directly with the airline. At least airlines will honor cancellations. Vayama does not event respond to requests for cancellation.

Terrible servicio al cliente para afrontar los cambios de vuelo por razòn del coronavirus. NO HAY COMO CONTACTARSE CON USTEDES- Tal vez pretenden obtener asi beneficio aprovechándose de esta calamidad mundial y cobrarnos una penalidad.
A los usuarios les sugiero que dejen todas las constancias posibles . Estamos hablando en este caso de 6 pasajes a CANCUN desde BOGOTA que no han podido solucionarse dado el mal servicio.
Definitivamente el consejo es regresar a las agencias de viajes reales. En Vayama nadie da cara ni responde por nada. Esto ya hubiera sido solucionado en una agencia normal.

"Worst service ever - video tape your recordings with customer service and share!"
Worst service ever. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone, not even my worst enemy. We had a flight leave yesterday that we did not get on because of the health risks. Our government is telling us we cannot travel unless absolutely necessary. We have called Vayama repeatedly. Alaskan Air AND EVA Air, both have policies in place for us to receive a full refund, but Vayama will NOT honor it. We were hung up on three times when we sent screen shots of the policy in place. I have NEVER been treated worse by a company. We have a claim into the BBB right now, we have contacted our credit card company to not pay them for not fulfilling their service. This is an example of a company who wants to MAKE money off of a Pandemic, not help people.
We recorded our conversations last night and if I get a chance to speak to someone again, I will be videotaping the phone call as proof to how awful they are and blast it all over the internet. I recommend EVERYONE to do the same. VIDEO TAPE your RECORDING and SHARE THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA.
