"Several big mistakes"
I sent 32 tapes to get scanned, including 13 VHS tapes. I was only able to check the VHS tapes because I don't have a mini-tape player. But of those 13 tapes, 2 were scanned incorrectly. One was missing 50% of the video, the other was missing 90%. A 3rd tape was not scanned at all (but I wasn't charged), but there was no note about why. I had to contact customer service to find out it had tracking issues (although I was able to scan it just fine myself). If I hadn't checked, I would have thrown out those videos never knowing what was missed.
If they made such big mistakes on just the 13 VHS tapes, who knows how many mistakes are on the other 20 tapes that I can't check.

"Scan Cafe lost 133 invaluable negatives…"
Scan Cafe lost 133 invaluable negatives from our photo shot library that can never be replaced! I sent Scan Cafe a 3 ring binder with 487 negatives that we wanted digitalized to keep safe. These negatives were from several photo shots that costs thousands of dollars. When I reviewed their scans I noticed they only scanned 354 images of the 487 sent. Customer Service has been a nightmare to deal with. They claim that they only received 354 negatives and they have videos to prove it however I asked to see their video and Jacob hung up on me. I sent them an old print of one of the missing negatives and a list of all the negative strips with the exact number of images on each strip but they still deny they received 487 negatives. Why would they start a job if the customer estimate is different than what they received? I wish I read all the negative reviews!

"Great job"
Very pleased with my overall experience working with ScanCafe. They were very clear and specific in describing their techniques and services, cost estimate, and ordering, packing and mailing instructions. The process took somewhat longer than anticipated but they were good about communicating and letting me know where my order was in their work line up. My 70-80 year old slides were treated with care and returned as carefully packed as I had sent them. The digital images were as good as I could have expected and sometimes a lot better, depending on the condition of the original image. Five Stars and many thanks to Scan Cafe. Excellent job!!

"Quick but just ok quality"
The processing was quick and we were kept well informed. The issue is that the digitization was only mediocre. We had other copies of the slides (from another supplier) and they were noticably better

"Quick turnaround and great quality!"
Quick turnaround and great quality! ScanCafe was very inexpensive for getting 1960s 35 mm slides retouched as opposed to sending my pictures off to Kodak themselves. They were very transparent during each step of the process which helped ease my anxiety about possibly losing those precious memories. I got the digital copies (both untouched and retouched) as soon as they were ready. They returned the original 35 mm slides back, in protective packaging as I had sent them in. I appreciate all of the care and communication this company had while retouching 60 year old family photos.

"Handy tool to rename ScanCafe files so that they are in numeric / sequential order"
I am generally pleased with the results, service, promptness and price.
The numeric order of the files, that is the naming/numbering practices could perhaps be improved and more accommodating to customers so that they better match the customer's naming/numbering strategy. My 2,500+ slides were organized in chronological order, and ScanCafe scanned them in that order but the slide number, 0001 to 2,500+, was at the end of each of their file names, meaning that sorting them placed them out of order. Thankfully, free software is available online to rapidly rename whole lists of files, stripping off the first portion of the names. I used a free product called FileRenamer (Windows version), but there are numerous others. Preparation for its use still involved moving files out of folders into a single folder, but once that was done, it worked like a charm.
