"STAY AWAY from this insurance"
I had some health issues while in the US. I call the customer service and they didn’t cover my expenses for urgent care, nor the ER. I would have had to pay everything by myself (almost 3600+170$) and then…. Later….. maybe…sending them all the documents they could’ve refunded me in a little percentage. The worst thing was that while feeling very sick, tired and aching I had to speak with an agent who were not able even to speak a good English! Shame on you

The price is great in comparison with other insurance houses in my home country. I’ve had to make one medical (minor) and one excess claim and both were resolved to my satisfaction within several days. Would use True Traveller again.

"Solid travel partner?"
We contracted travel insurance when we were on a trip to Vietnam, True Traveller.
My barely verbal son complained about headaches on the right side of the head. We brought him to the pediatrician in American hospital, she found out that he needed glasses. We paid and claimed the consultation fee, True Traveller answered that they wouldn't pay saying that we chose to give treatment in Vietnam. As a reminder, in Norway any treatment is free for my son, so why would we choose that, plus we only asked for the consultation fees back.
From my experience, insurance is like a travel partner in case of need.
The latest update: The claim was finally accepted, thanks to Sandra who took the time to read the claim to find out that my son suffered from a strong headache and that an eye check was ordered by this doctor to reach a diagnosis. She sent us a comprehensive email that made us feel better, and more understood.
I still have mixed feelings but I feel way better with True Traveller now.
